[REL] Morroblivion VWD

This is a set of meshes for various structures to be displayed in LOD.

Archive contains several subfolders for different parts of the mod - you can install all of them or just the ones you want.

Currently included:

1.) Azura's Coast
Includes stone mehnirs and Emperor Parasol Mushrooms.
Note: mehnir LOD model contains less than 50 verticles, but this object is used almost 10000 times in the game, so there still might be a performance hit

2.) Daedric Architecture
Various daedric shrines throughout the land.

3.) Dunmer Strongholds
10 Ancient Dunmer Strongholds

4.) Telvanni Architecture
All the mushrooms and roots

5.) Velothi
Includes entrances to ancestral tombs, temples and Velothi towers in the wilderness.

6.) Vivec
Full LOD models for Vivec City. I highly recommend installing at least this module - the city looks atrocious without proper LOD.

I will update this with more modules later and even include some (Vivec for sure) into default installation package.

Some screenshots:

Installation Note:

After putting the files into your Data folder (manually or throug BAIN) you must run TES4LODGen utility. Without it you won't see new LOD ingame.

Thanks. Performance hit will

Thanks.

Performance hit will depend largely on location and how powerful your computer is in general - you'll have to try it for yourself.

Yes, absolutely. Run

Yes, absolutely. Run TES4LODGen after installing the meshes from here.

TES4LL is not needed for Morroblivion - our LODs are already generated using it.

Umm hi. Sorry, i know that

Umm hi. Sorry, i know that using mods is an at-your-own-risk type thing, but i was wondering how to remove vwd meshes? I deleted the _far.nif files, but i still see the models in game. I wanted to try the vwd mod for the experience, but i'm having trouble removing it, and the performance hit is just a little too much for my system. Any advice on removing it?

Delete the _far nifs which

Delete the _far nifs which came with this mod, then re-run TES4LODGen.

You will still see the most essential VWD models - they come with base Morroblivion installation. If those still give you performance hit, you'll be better off disabling 'Distant Objects' in Oblivion video settings.
