Professionally screenprinted Skywind T Shirts Discussion

EDIT: Ok this is just about the T shirts.

I need 3 things,

1. What legal issue their would be for doing the shirts and charging for them, I am only charging for the T shirt (the garment) itself covering my own cost, making 0 profit.

2. How many people are going to want a shirt.

3. A design, I would be willing to print up to 3 colors and can print practically anything someone can come up with long as it will not involve CMYK, so only 3 colors. Again, 3 is going to be if we came up with a awesome design and a good amount of people want the shirt.

Ideally we are looking at a front center chest print and maybe a back small logo, like example the TES renewal project logo. We could do a 1 color front left chest print with a logo then a back 2 or 3 color design.

Printing 1 color on the front or back is simple and would not add any extra screens.

The T shirts would be American Apparel or Next Level.

I cant do the shirts for free but I will be doing them for next to nothing, I will not make a cent of profit.

 - Art, I don't expect the art to be screenprint ready, every color is its own sep/film. So it has to be tweaked by our artist. Fortunately I am not charging for this.

- Inks and emulsion, another charge that will not be their

- Shirts, this and the shipping (which will be very cheap) will be the only cost for you.

I can do Gildan %100 cotton T shirts as well which would further reduce the cost of the shirts for some people.

If you want a nice fitting Skywind T shirt I would suggest AA or Next Level.

The cost to get you the shirt could be anywhere as cheap as $5 to $10 being the absolute most pending on what shirt you want. If we end up doing a 3 color front 1 color back or something on those lines you will still get the shirts at that cost as again I am only charging for the T shirt (garment) and the shipping itself.

My reasoning or motives,

I wont print a 3 color Skywind T shirt just for myself, the cost and process is not worth it. We are kind of at a slow time right now and I haven't honestly printed anything just for myself in awhile and want a Skywind T shirt. Printing a 2 or 3 color Skywind T shirt would be worth it to me if enough Skywind devs and fans want one. I don't have anything to offer to this project but T shirts, I like thousands of other people just cant wait to play it.

"I will take any suggestions

"I will take any suggestions for shirt designs far as that goes, but regardless I will be printing my own Skywind T shirts. Far as the shirts themselves go I will wear AA (American Apparel). Id sell the shirts and ship them out for next to no profit, id just cover my cost on them."

Well yeah, before you start

Well yeah, before you start doing stuff like that (printing skywind t-shirts) you should contact the right people - that's a nice thing to do. Legally it should be okay, cause you will probably print only skywind artwork. But you still need to have permission for that from project leads and artists involved.

Yeah, there can't be a set

Yeah, there can't be a set profit from this. That's the legal standing.

As tommythegun stated, this really needs to go through the powers-that-be. Despite how it appears, there is an order to things around here. :)

Just a idea.

Just an idea.

We can't get any profit from Skywind, right? So can we sell t-shirts with profit and send all profit for some charity foundation (some gifts for kids in orphanage?). It will be some utility of that. Then we have:

For that idea:

1. A lot of more recognition and popularity of Skywind and our t-shirts

2. It is much easier to advertise this idea. Then people which don't know nothing about skywind/MW and skyrim will have chance to get know sth about that.

3. Maybe then we can find some sponsors?

4. And most important. We have Christmas time, so it would be really cool to help someone.

So everybody wins.

Objections

0. We need someone which we can really, really trust....

1. When we will use some image/art can violate Beth property rights (it could be even Dagoth Ur concept). Then they can sue us. But then they will get extremely bad publicity.

2. It should be absolutely transparent. BryanGTR, we have to know your real name, and where you want to do it. Sorry this is not sth which we can give someone anonymous.

3. Find to place, which presents or money will be used wise. And know someone who knows where to seek.

4. All expanses should be written down and shown publicly.

5. Do we have enough time?

6. Someone who is willing to buy/send to right place.

So it's 50/50 chance for it. Best option it will be to find trusted charity foundation.

What do u think of that, lads?

@lukkar I don't think Beth

@lukkar I don't think Beth would allow that. Even if our intention is good, we are still making some sort of money by selling merchandise by using work that originally belongs to Beth Soft.

Let's not put ourselves in trouble by getting involved in stuff that doesn't help us one bit in terms of development (not PR stuff)

Aretea is correct, making t

Aretea is correct, making t-shirts about Skywind is technically still the selling of a product, putting the development of projects on tesrenewal in jeopardy. Personally I would not make the decision to go through with any action that would harm the project in the slightest.

TIme wise it is uncertain, I

TIme wise it is uncertain, I could have the shirts done anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months from now pending on how long it takes to finalize the design with everyone here and how to work out the legal stuff.

Theoretically if I had the design, and the art/seps from our artist, had the order (the sizes and quanities of shirts) everyone wants I could order and have the shirts at our shop within the next day or two at most. Then once the shirts are arrive they would be done that day most likley.

The shop I will print the shirts in and expenses do not haft to be anonymous or my real name. I will give all that information out when the time calls for it np.

If we are talking about 200 shirts or more I would probably need help shipping everything out. Like id ship a bulk of shirts with the order information to one person and they ship those shirts out. I would for example ship out like 50 shirts then someone else ships out the other 50. Our shop is not into online orders, while we do have a account with Fed Ex we only usually ship bulk amount of shirts to one place.

If we are talking about 50 shirts I can handle all that or ship 25 to someone (obviously trustworthy) to help ship the shirts out.

Even if it is just 20 people getting shirts and it only ends up being a 1 color simple design it will still look cool.

Far as the shirts being used for advertising, I don't think they will do anything far as that goes. The internet, Twitch.tv and your alls Youtube channel among other places over the internet are giving plenty of advertisement. No doubt if this actually happens and we get to make TES renewal project Skywind T Shirts people will ask you about the shirt you are wearing if they see a hint of Skyrim on it as that is a very popular game.

EDIT: The comments above this post, your right, and that is why this probably will not happen.
