Description

This is a bug report I have encountered way into the mages guild. Everything has gone wonderfully until edwinna said I should challeng the archamage and I decided I first wanted to do the duty he would give me first. that was easy since I already had all of the three books I needed, the only problem was the location in the name of this thread. I enter into the building, there is no sandstorm or anything that would cause the game to ctd, after the loading screen I get a black screen for two seconds then the game pops up with the elder scrolls oblivion has stopped responding or working correctly, one or the other.

Bottom line, it ctd's so something about the arvsdrelen worldspace may cause the game to crash for more than just me. I'm am making a temporary fix with cs with a second obaladas demnavanni ouside the house to finish the quest then the archmage is going down.

Now I have to speak to yagrum bagarn in the corprusarium and the same issue. I finally find the door to the lower depths to find the guy, and it ctds after it loads the area.

Have you tried opening the console and typing "pcb" to purge cell buffers?

I got that mod in the installation instructions that does it automatically every loading screen, so it might be helping to slow it down when exiting interiors to exteriors. Today, sometimes when exiting a building it crashes halfway through loading, and I think it's from lodaing to slowly it just stops responding. Mainly when its raining or sandstorms outside. And I've decreased video settings substantially since yesterday. But this is unrelated to yesterdays posts on this thread. Those two places were interiors and may have just been two large and two taxing on my system for it or something. This is coming from a computer that played crysis 2 on medium to high settings without stuttering. But yeah, maybe too much stuff in one worldspace and my show distant land was checked off, but the bar that sets the radius of how much was loaded to be visible until today was set at highest, I put it in the middle so.

I've been not playing this game or videogames for a while until a week or two ago when I got skyrim so yah, I've tried again and it still does it at the place where I have to get a dwemer puzzle box for the guy in balmora you report to. The lod has no effect even if its nonexisten as far as I can tell.

I kinda had the same kind of problem. Deactivate Unofficial Oblivion Patch and its extra mods. That surprisingly worked for me. If it also fixes your problem there is some serious thinking to do...

I've visited all these locations without issues.
