Hi I'm new to this site...
But I have downloaded and played Morroblivion over 2 years ago. It was great! I'd like to say thanks for who ever was responsible for it. It really made my OB exp better. So Anyways...
I'm posting a topic becuase now I'd like to get Obliviskyrim going on my comp. It's just there's a lot I'm not understanding about how to install it. What are the steps? And I keep hearing people talk about a converter but haven't seen a link to it yet. Is it the same converter from Oblivion?
If anyone could please write out the steps from start to finish for getting Oblivion in Skyrim, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.
hmm its just download the two files that are for meshes, then open up your oblivion compressed textures BSA then extracting all the textures to ur skyrim data folder, delete sky and water. then come download the Oblivion_sk.esm from here. Then opening the ESM in the Creation Kit and saving it again. Then only loading that file when trying to enter game. Load a game save that is in doors the first time you load and you should be good. Type out COW And_tamriel 5 10 to put urself in water district. After u get that done i have composed an LOD file for it on the site. i fixed its errors so now it should be playable.
Thanks for your reply Alexander.
I think I am still going to write out a really detailed installation guide just for future reference though.
EDIT: I am placing these instructions in their own thread, as I felt that was warrented. Hope you like the almost-semi-comedic theme I wrote them with.
Hey, Shadow, I'm new to the forums too, and I can kinda use the Creation Kit and barely texture (small edits). Can I apply for something? If yes, where?
Well, we don't really do much applying here. Mostly we pick something, tell everyone what we are doing, and then when we are done, upload the file so it can be integrated into the main project.
Here is a link to a thread that helps tell what we need to do:
That particular one is for Morrowind, but the process would be mostly the same for Oblivion. It seems like we are not going to be getting a conversion of Morrowind on the new converter any time soon, so we might as well begin on Oblivion. Though that thread actually has many unneeded steps, as the new converter took care of a lot of them. Just look through that, see if there are any things that interest you, and then check in the CK to see what, if anything, in that step needs to be done. Then feel free to ask questions along the way.
