It's a beta update right now, so there are some extra steps to install it:

DOWNLOADING THE BETA UPDATE ON STEAM

If you’d like to download the 1.6 Beta Update on Steam, you’ll need to follow these steps:

  1. Log into Steam
  2. Click on Steam in the upper menu
  3. Select Settings
  4. Under the Account tab, go to the Beta Participation section and select Change.
  5. A drop down menu will appear. Select Skyrim Beta.
  6. Select OK.
  7. Steam will now restart. After Steam restarts, Skyrim will be updated to the Beta version currently available.

I just updated my Skyrim a few days ago and I have not seen any texture problems.  Do you have any texture replacers running?  If so try removing or reinstalling them.  Also try verifying the integrity of the game files in Steam.  Something might have been deleted, or messed up during installation.

It was a Morrowind Armour mod

It was a Morrowind Armour mod that I got from the workshop,I unticked it and my weapons and armour got thier textures back.

Is there away to stop steam from adding mods back if I go online in steam.?

Every time I delete mods that I have subscribed to they just get re-installed by steam. Not good with steam, but is there a way to unsubscribe mods.?

Yes, just open up the steam

Yes, just open up the steam workshop and there should be a link on the right side that says something like "my subscriptions".  Just click that and you can unsubscribe from there.

Edit:

Yes! I just reached lucky number 10 and am now a member.
