I couldn't get the Converter to change where it was looking for the files so I just moved them from Program Files(x86) to Program Files, then after a second of running the converter it gave me the message below
"Can't Create C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\Data\Morrowind_ob.cnv!"
Any suggestions?I'm running Windows 7 64bit.
The only thing i can think of is you didnt cancel out the right stuff in the text document and run it as admin. But there could always be the case of the orginal intall paths is still thinking its there
And everything pans out like it's supposed too. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Morrowind and nothing changes.
I remember reading somewhere sometime in the past of someone else having problems with the games installed in the default directories, and think they changed the location to either another drive or just C:/Oblivion.
Have you tried with UAC off?
Um...Could you please tell me what UAC stands for? and how do I know if it's on or off?
Are you on vista?
it is the user account control, it is the crap that pops up all the time asking for program permissions
Once I moved the Oblivion Folder out of the Program Files Folder it worked just fine.
Good to hear
Are you going to join us and start modding the game now?
Try this: http://morroblivionfull.blogspot.com/
If I had any idea at all as to how to Mod, I've messed around in the CS before but I couldn't make heads nor tails of it. If I could find like a video guide or something written in detailed step by step instructions I could figure it out and join you guys in modding the game.
David wolf , Is that better then the esp converter ? the site you linked .
It's just the converted files that someone has uploaded, it is from using the same ESP converter
OK thanks dude =)
Yes, it's better and easy to use, you should try it out.
Seeya.-
Well does it let you still edit stuff from morroblivion ? or not because its just a mod ?
when i first downloaded morroblivion using windows vista i had a problem using the esp converter i have since solved the situation however and this is one of the ways to solve it. becuase vista is abit dodgy so you need to run administrator on the program (this is located when you right click it with the mouse and is second amongst the options.
