Bash/BOSS problem
Hello, I have been following the videos to install morroblivion but I'm having some problems. When I get to the step where I have installed bash, oblivion stops working, I click play in the launcher and it shuts down, just to note, this is my second try, I had already tried the whole thing but when I launched obse_loader I would only get a black window which quickly shuts down.
I believe the reason is because in the new bash version (293), I had to edit a file, basher.py, because that was supposed to be a fix for it according to tesnexus, so I did and I finally could open bash and everything inside worked fine, but not morroblivion, although the program was a bit hectic and lagged a bit especially when you clicked the installer tab.
So I have been trying to find a older version of bash and boss, the same that is in the tutorial video, 291 and boss 1.65 I think.
Just so you know I have update my video card driver, my video card is HD 5770 1GB, although I'm pretty sure this is not a problem related to that, because I tried running oblivion after the SI install and all patch installs and it worked, until I installed bash and boss.
Sorry I'm a bit tired, I have followed the tutorial really close and googled my ass off and tried to get this working for hours, please someone help me lol.
Ohh and I have everything downloaded so a whole install won't be that much of a problem it's just that I now seem to know that bash is the problem but I can no where find the same version as the one in the tutorial 291,
The symptoms you are describing are indicative of a missing Master File.
Run the mod checker in Wrye Bash to help detect which one you are missing.
I remember I did that at the first install I tried, and it was the morrowind.esm (sorry just the morrowind master file) thta was missing from the oblivion directory, so I found it in some other folder I remember and moved it to the right place but I'm not sure I fixed it properly by just doing that, but now I am doing a whole new install and oblivion just won't work after I install bash.. Should I maybe just ignore that and continue installing and hope it works?
aaalright.. I managed to get morroblivion working, had to use a older version of wrye bash, and a standalone version, the 291.
Anyways.. The only problem I'm having that inside houses and in the starting ship, there is a "Wtf I'm a missing mesh" everywhere, and occasionally outside houses.. I haven't explored much but it seemed pretty clear that somethings wrong with meshes inside houses, I'm downloading Eloth Misc Items & Ingredients now, btw I installed Eloth's visual overhaul but it didn´t seem to make much difference to the meshes.
Everything works now! luckily to the Eloth Misc Items & Ingredients , everything works.
