Thank you to those who helped me install. Working fine with no purple textures. Last thing I could ask is how do I improve the performance of the mod. I know the oblivion engine wasnt made for the mod, but there must be some way to improve performance so at least there is a bit less lag. Thanks.

Type pcb into the console, or get the purge cell buffers mod (the link is in the downloads thread). Those are the big ones I know of. After that, you want to turn off Anti Aliasing (that's huge), cut down on any video stuff you don't need (like shadows, distant lod, grass, or if absolutely necessary, High res texture packs).

That's all the stuff I've done, I don't know of other stuff you could do.... Sorry if this was all obvious.

ps. Cool name.

Wow. Cool.

And ya, A Random Guy is both funny and mysterious, it works in a pinch.

From the FAQ: http://morroblivion.com/faq

» Why does Morroblivion run slowly, why is my framerate low?
For a variety of reasons, areas in Morrowind, especially cities, can be more demanding on computer hardware than Oblivion. The simple fact is, big mods require big hardware, regardless of what mod it is (see the requirements of Better Cities for example).

For optimum performance, this means:

  • a fast processor (e.g. 3.0Ghz+, Oblivion does not support multi-core processors, so clock speed is more important than the number of cores),
  • lots of ram (e.g. at least 2GB, preferably 4GB+), and
  • a reasonably modern video card (e.g. Geforce 9800GT+ or Radeon 5670+). If you're using extensive texture replacers, you should have at minimum 1GB (1024MB) of graphics memory.  A 512MB card will do for the normal game, as long as it's a fast card.

Having an older computer or a low-end video card certainly doesn't mean you can't run Morroblivion - it just means you may have to turn your graphics settings down a bit, especially when you travel to Morrowind.

There are also several threads on this:

processor- 2.4ghz (below requirements)

ram-3.9 gb (lets just say it is at the recommended. it just misses)

video card- ATI Mobility Radeon HD 550v (i am not good at telling if that is good. here are its stats)

i used can you run it because i dont know how else to look at this stuff. dont look at the required. I went to a random game (Mass Effect 2, such a great game btw. i have it on xbox) and looked at the you have section. this is just for the video card. not the processor or ram. or did you want video ram?

  Required You Have
Video RAM 256 MB 2.7 GB
Hardware T&L Yes Yes
Pixel Shader version 3.0 4.1
Vertex Shader version 3.0 4.1

To find all you need to know about your computer's specs, click on your start / window icon in the bottom left corner.

If you have vista or seven, type 'dxdiag' into the bar that says 'search for programs and files' and press enter. A tool comes up that gives you all your info. You mostly want to look at the first two tabs: System and Display.

From there you can type up your info or just click the 'save all information' button to save all your info to a text file.

I run mine with 2.4 ghz processer (dual core) and 4gigs or 6 gigs of ram, depending on the computer. You also have more video card memory than I do, at least on my laptop. I have 2.2 gigs video ram. So you should be good...
