Arena Revival??

Hi There, I Have a pretty strange request here.

I am an elder scrolls fanatic for a long time and, (and I know this will get me yelled at A LOT) I have to admit that elder scrolls one (arena) is my favorite in the series. Although obviously not as brilliant in the graphics field as say, Skyrim Special edition. But it has a fabulous storyline and, well let`s be honest, was pretty good for 1994. I am a massive admirer of the work done on this website, but the game I really want to see translated into the skyrim engine. I have basic skills in npc creation, landscaping, dungeon building, and voice acting. I am also a musician, and have experience in sound engineering, composing, and recording. I have contacts who are skilled coders and modelers (Professional nerds for life!) but we cannot do this alone. We need help from other dedicated fans of the series. We need as many of you as possible to lend your time, effort and ideas to our cause. We need YOU!

Thank-you for reading this post all the way to the end without throwing your monitor out the window in anger.

As lovely as that sounds, a full recreation of Arena in Skyrim's engine isn't on the radar. Arena took place in all eight countries, correct? Morrowind takes place in about 1/3rd of a single country, and Skywind has been in development for close to five years.

I too would love to see Arena

I too would love to see Arena re-created with Skyrim's engine, but unfortunately that isn't likely to happen. The biggest difference isn't even the size of the maps etc., but the procedural generation of the world itself used in TES: Arena. Nearly every dungeon was generated from scratch the moment a player entered it from a set object list. The same is actually true for 99% of the landscape as well, as it generates while the player is exploring. As far as I am aware, the Skyrim: CK doesn't really do procedural generation at all and there in lies the biggest issue with remaking both Daggerfall and Arena. 

If you and/or your contacts ever find a way to do this however, likely needing a complete overhaul of the CK or a new engine altogether, I would love to join in on that project :)
