Description

I had just installed Morroblivion in all of its glory. When all of a sudden, I tried to leave Seyda Neen for the first time in any direction (over the bridge, in the water, anything), and my game would just freeze. If i waited a minute, it would unfreeze, just to freeze back up for another minute. If this is an easy fix, I feel ignorant, but I really tried to look everywhere on how I could fix this problem.

If you have not got them installed, try the purge cell buffers and purge load buffers mod.

Can`t find a link to it right now but it is on these forums somewhere. And maybe you might have your graphics set to high in oblivion.

But leave the texture size set to Large.

This sounds more like a bug with your hardware/software than with Morroblivion.

You should make sure that your computer isn't overheating, first off.  Is this a gaming rig?  Do you play any other games on it?  If yes, and those games work w/o overheating, than you're ok.  Otherwise, if you're installing this on grandma's laptop or something, well...

Another potential cause could be an antivirus program scanning Oblivion as it loads new data into your computer's memory and slowing it down.  If you have an antivirus program running, try temporarily disabling it and see if that helps.

Finally, it could be a bad memory module in your PC, or possibly a bad video card memory module (bad hardware).  You can test for bad memory with MemTest86+ http://www.memtest.org/

I actually had tried the purge cell buffers, and am currently still using it.

I was actually afraid about the latter, my computer specs not being up to speed. I have a 2009 macbook pro running on bootcamp windows 7, 2.66Ghz on an intel core 2 duo and an Nvidia GeForce 9600 GT.
Will that not cut it at all?

I have a 2010 MacBook Air and I can run it. Hmmm that's strange, you should be able to run it. Definitely not on high settings though, around medium I would say, but you gotta mess with it.

Ive had this happen occasionally.  I have to start a new game to get it to work.  It doesn't always happen when leaving seyda neen .. sometimes I crash when loading the seyda neen cell.  In my case it's a mod conflict.

This is probably a mod conflict or because of limitations in Oblivion, not something specific to Morroblivion that we can address.
