Description

Ok first off sneaking is pretty broken for me, NPC's can detect me from other rooms, theres no sense of cover while sneaking, I can be behind a soilid wall and an npc downstairs on the other side of the building detects me. Its also the same with hostile NPC's. The second your within range of there sight they attack, you dont even get a chance to sneak attack them.

Another bug is all armor and wepons have the same properties they only vary slightly by what type of wepon or armor it is, but there are no upgrades, upgrades of previous armor and weapon types are the exact same of the predecessor (except the weight difference)

Yeah you need to level up your character.  What is your sneak skill?  What is your agility?  What is your light armor / heavy armor skill?  What level is your character?  What difficulty setting are you playing with?

I have a feeling you would get the same results if you played vanilla oblivion with no morroblivion installed...

Sneak seems ok for me [sneak level only about 8 I think] ,as I did well sneaking when trying to do one of the fighter guild quests.

The one where there are about 7 NPC`s to take out in a cave.

And as I sneak it keeps upping my sneak level.

Just checked sneak again, and it works fine as long as the NPC`s are facing away from you or are at a long distance.

They also seem to hear you move depending on what you wear that is why they know you are there around corners,?.cool!.

I am closing this bug report - just did a fresh install of Morroblivion this weekend on my new Win7 box and sneak works FINE. Tried it with a Breton mage character (sneak level about 5) and a kajiit thief character (sneak level about 30).  Works fine either way, although the kajiit is obviously much sneakier.

Maybe the original poster is using some sort of stealth overhaul mod, maybe he doesn't understand how sneak works in oblivion's engine, maybe he was high.  Who knows?
