Description

Hello,

I walked into the Drethan Ancestral Tomb, which is south of Dagon Fel on a small island, and found a Vampire named Marara. I didn't have a quest to kill her, but when I did kill her a "Quest Completed!" message popped up. I activated the quest completion message by killing her, even tho I didn't have the quest to begin with. I later looked it up and the quest is "The Weary Vampire".

Also, in Shallit, which is a cave a little north of the Drethan Ancestral Tomb, there is a camp fire with a flame that does not animate. To further clarify - the flames are just a still picture.

Hope I helped,

-Eric

The part of the quest before that is optional. Its just to ask about rumors of a vampire. When you kill the Vampire and take the ring you complete the quest.

This is a problem with design, not a bug in this particular quest.

Most qames face this dilema. If you do something out of order, how do they handle it?

Morrowind and Oblivion both typically update the quest as if you had been doing it all along.

Setting up quests so that every possible order of events is handled properly would take a lot of extra work, and in most instances designers simply do not have that much time. Everybody has deadlines.
