The mummies in the Ashlander tomb caves are purple. They seem to be the only purple things in the game.
I've had the same problem. I edited the mummy nif's and added the correct file path / textures to them, and that fixed them, so I think the textures are there, the file paths are just wrong :/

Purple = missing textures. Reinstall the Additional Support Files (I believe part 1).
The "Mummies" being referred to are not creatures, but decorations.
Ashlander, just follow the main quest, once you get to the first Ashlander tribe one of their missions is to get a bow from a tomb, the place is chock full of mummy's (and they're often holding great loot, making a fort acrobatics spell of tlc abuse nearly mandatory).
And my mummies looked just fine, think I was running v33 back then.
It probably got fixed then, I was running 20 something, I think, when I saw and fixed the problem for myself. Cool

Textures path is incorrect you have 6 main .nif files to suit body the textures they are looking for are..
InUCIUmummyU01.nif this .nif is looking for..
Oblivion\Data\textures\txmummyhead01.dds..
the same through All six Body parts..
the textures are in (Morroblivion Complete Installation Part 3)...
Problem is textures\Morro\i\
TxUmummyUheadU01.dds the (_n.dds) is the same All through the full six body parts corrected all directory Paths no more pink mummies..
This is indeed still an issue in v055, just tested with a clean install. How, I dunno. Thought we fixed this heh.

Thanks Thermador for doing a clean installation and finding purple mummies,there is still other errors that are still in V054, Please dont go and put in any fixes so these errors will come up..
