[3D] modeller looking to join! Experienced in creating objects.

Hello!

I'm an Industrial Design Major of 4 years, I have a bit more than 3 years of 3d modeling experience. I don't use the programs that you guys typically use, the program I'm most experienced with is called Rhino-3d, It's a surface modeler that is very apt at handling and creating organically curved and shaped objects. I want to join the team for two reasons: I'm looking to diversify my portfolio because I've never worked on anything video game related before, and I also am just really passionate about game design and would love to fuel that passion in from a different perspective than playing games. I would love to help out and bring new perspective to your team, I hope to hear from you guys soon!

Hi Phdu,

Hi Phdu,

We'd need to see some examples of your modeling. Do you have any? Preferably with wireframes? What are your experience with sculpting?

I have some models on the profile I liked in the application (there should be a powertool and a wall mounted kitchen appliance/dispenser). I can pull some wireframes for you as well though. Or I can also model an object up for you today or tomorrow, maybe something skyrim esque? Like a sword or a piece of Nordic furniture or something.

I don't have any experience sculpting, but I'd be willing to learn while I do some other work for you guys.

EDIT 1: Almost done modeling a saber for the kicks and giggles, I'll post the wireframe here when it's done

Your workflow differs from

Your workflow differs from ours a great deal. Normally we'd like for people to be able to follow the entire flow, so we don't have to utilize resources teaching. I've been told 3D Rhino is often used for jewelry, so I'm going to give you a test that fits this. Below is a set of rings, but initially I'd like for you to number 1 of the exquisite rings. Normally we'd do a high poly, a low poly, then a bake. But just stick with the high poly. Good luck!
