Hi guys, I'm a system & network engineer and I'm currently in master 1 at an IT School, but I also do web development, mainly in node.js. I have worked in the past with C/C++ and some other language. I am currently learning Papyrus and I do have basic knowledge with the Creation Kit. I also used to make mods for Morrowind but this was a long time ago. I also work with Unreal Engine 4. I'm not really on Skype (if you need me to, I will re-install Skype) but I answer my emails quickly, If you need me just send me an email :) Regards, Mastor
Hi Grumpycat,
Hi Grumpycat,
Thanks for the quick answer. I can totally do that, it will take some time to check all the objects but we can do a list to ease the work afterward for Skywind.
Is there any thread to discuss the task in details ?
Edit: I've started something here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1BL9cI_ahTbrblATFIaPVLfVf6k5ohBgp6ScdhlveDug/edit?usp=sharing
Am I doing it correctly ?
That spreadsheet looks like a
That spreadsheet looks like a great way of doing it. I was looking to see if we could do an automated method to print them all out, but still it requires a person to look at the scripts to see what they might do.
I've added you to developer chat, and we also use discord (skype type thing) to do chat. So like with all new people, keep an ear open and after a while you'll get into talks etc, just will take time to get comfortable.
I'll send you a personal message with more information, but as far as this task, do we don't have any more info. Its literally a case of you going through and seeing whats missing, and if its seems imporatnt then we will need to write the script for the equivalent object in Skywind. However lets get an idea of the scope of logic thats missing.

Hi, You'll be perfect if you
Hi, You'll be perfect if you have a bit of patience as you already have some background experience with modding.
I might have a specific task for you as you already had morrowind construction set experience.
Currently most of the World Objects in Skywind don't have scripts/logic behind them. Probably the only items that do are quest related items. But that does not mean that objects shouldn't have scripts. Too be honest we don't really know how important the scripts are yet. If you can imagine a lot of them might be simple stuff like when you click on an object you get a message box giving you a little description. Not game breaking but we need to make sure that what Morrowind does is not game breaking for Skywind because we don't have the same logic.
So if you can refresh your memory the objects will be in groups like Activator, Furniture, Containers, Static, etc
What we will try and do is get our resident data expert Zilav, to see if he can help us create a list of Morrowind objects that have a scripts attached, and then we can also do a list for Skywind and do a check what is missing.
Then you can go through and look at the script logic to start getting an idea of what is missing. Let me know if you're interested in this task?
