Simple Teleport Spell Tutorial Request

Hello.

I have a request:

Somebody, please please please, post a simple tutorial for using the Construction Set to create a simple Teleport to Cyrodiil Spell, which could be innovatively retro-engineered for a simple Teleport to Vvardenfell Spell.

Note: I tried to use the "Portal to Vvardenfell" mod, though it erased my Morrowind Map. As well, I would need to travel to Cyrodiil first, while Morroblivion starts me in Vvardenfell. It's as if this simple mod & feature is missing intentionally, as an attempt to get everybody whom plays Morroblivion to learn the Construction Set real quick, & I'm just enjoying my first Morroblivion playthrough.

Thanks.

Mechanically you would need

Mechanically you would need to create a spell, a magic effect script, and probobly your own XMarkers somwhere. OnScriptEffectStart and player.moveto <XMarker>. I made a boat that travels around and can go to Cyrodiil, you can always open up other peoples mods in the CS to see how they did things, just dont directly take anything without permission (just use their ideas). If youre brand new to the CS, start even simpler than this, dont even deal with scripting, just learn the layout of the buttons by creating your own interior cell and linking it to the "real world" with doors (youll want a floor too.....). Most of us (I would assume) started off using the actual Morrowind CS, so we all have almost 20 years experience with it at this point, theres no need to jump in headfirst, start out small and youll figure it out in no time.

Keep in mind player.coc is a thing and easier than all of this if you dont care about "immersion".

It depends on what you want

It depends on what you want to achieve, really. The simplest thing to do is indeed to have a door that connects Vvardenfell and Cyrodiil, like Smoblikat says. You don't even need a house, just link two doors in the CS, that's it. This gives you two fixed points to travel between.

If you want more flexible travel, you need to think about it. When you say a spell, where do you want to travel to, exactly? From your current position on Vvradenfell to a fixed position in Cyrodiil? And what about going back? Where to? If it all comes down to traveling between two fixed points, then a door is still the simplest thing of them all. (It can be a portal to make it more believable, it's the same thing as far as the CS is concerned.)

Morrowind's own spell for travelling is of course Mark and Recall. This can be implemented for Oblivion easily enough, but overall the task requires some skill. It is explained here: https://wiki.bethesda.net/wiki/constructionset/ConstructionS... This is probably not what you'd call simple.

Hope this helps and let me know if you have questions.

You can recall to your house

You can recall to your house in Cyrodiil after casting a mark. If you don't leave the house you can fast travel back to Vvardnfell directly from the house
