Missing Executable

Submitted by Silver_90 on

Hello, so I just installed Morroblivion and followed the instructions. Everything seemed to be alright, and after I changed the load order I went to launch Oblivion. But it wouldn't launch through Steam because it said this:

Failed to start game (missing executable).

I went to the Steam support site and did what it said to do about the problem, which was deleting the appcache and restarting my computer. Still, I couldn't launch the game. I'm not the best at modding, and I don't know where I messed up. I'll give infomation about what I did during installation if needed. Thanks!

Were you able to start Oblivion before Morroblivion? Also in Steam you can right click on the game title in your list, then select properties and under local files press Verify Integrity of Game Cache. If there's anything missing Steam will redownload it.

Also did you delete anything during the installation?

Whatever it's caused by it's not Morroblivion - it doesn't do anything with game's exe.

Try reinstalling Oblivion.

Yes, I was able to start Oblivion before Morroblivion, Brainslasher. And no, I didn't delete anything during installation. Steam is currently redownloading some missing things.
