All the Telvanni lead with my being a Vampire and something about experimenting on me. I killed a vampire as part of the main quest but there are no indications of me catching the disease or being a vampire in the active effects or when talking to any other NPCs. I even tried the Vampire Cure quest and I can't interact with the statue presumably since I am not really a vampire. Any ideas how to fix this or prevent it on subsequent playthroughs?

Just ran into this issue also, as sbvb said, there's nothing showing I have the disease but several of the Telvanni react as if I do. I assumed it was just filler dialogue though.
