[WIP] Southern West Gash

Submitted by SquallyDaBeanz on

Me again! I am beginning work on the southern area of the West Gash, starting from Caldera and working my way up. I don't have much to show yet, but updates are coming soon.

A big request I'd like to make is that we get some flora going for this area. Both LASentry and I are in desperate need of it. Most importantly are the trees. Please take a look at lukkar's concepts here for references http://tesrenewal.com/forums/concept-art/west-gash-region-enviro-all-concepts

Back with an update. The first two screen shots are the area right outside Caldera. It's more lush and green, and very much a WIP. This is the basic idea though. I think new shrubs and trees will really enhance it. The other screens are the northern region of West Gash. This is the area LASentry is working on. Most of the rock placments are his, but I added a few more details to serve as a sample area, to get a general feel. Eventually, these two areas will slowly blend together. Let me know what you guys think and leave any comments/suggestions.

I'm not sure about the rock texture but everything else looks good... I think I'll go ahead with altering the texture - the current one is too red and this one is too brown. I do prefer to have strips of the LFieldGrass01 through it though. But yeah I will follow your style. I wasn't sure what you meant by "everything else was substandard", but now I couldn't see the place without the landslips and stuff.

Why don't you aim for a 3rd texture, one that transitions between red north to brown south? Find or ask around for such a thing. So this would be used in the central parts of West Gash.

Someone was making one for me a few months ago, but he left. He didn't understand tiling or how texture sets generally work in Skyrim.
