So we have mod like that

I thought it would be nice addition, for me inspiration was criminal subculture

So tattoo define rank and some traits, so why not use that it to cammona tong if they are like mafia. They have ranks. So it is not so hard to depict this in dunmer style. What do u think of that? Of course I will do design.

I was actually intending to design Cammona Tong mafia tattoos together with their faces and hairstyles. Kind of like the concepts I did for House Dunmer so far. Won't hurt if you come up with some patterns though ;)

For ever body tattoo you want to implement you need to setup a custom race with a custom body mesh/texture. Head tattoos are completely doable.

Couldn't body tattoos work as a skin complexion type?

Couldn't they be implemented in the same way war paint is in the vanilla game?

War paint only applies to the face, and so if implemented, body paint would have to use a complexion texture or some other method.

For what it's worth... there's no requirement to have any shirtless Cammona Tong walking around.  I think leaving it at facial tattoos is fine.

Dirt, scars or tattoos on the body would add a lot of immersion though. I remember leaving a lot of stripped npc behind when playing tes and, coming to think of it now, it was a bit weird that everyone had perfect clean skin. The body of an old orc warrior e.g. should be covered with scars and the average beggar should at least be a bit dirtier than the rest of the townsfolk.

Dirt, scars, and face paint/tattoos already exist in the vanilla game.  It shouldn't be much to add more in.  The mod linked in the initial post should probably be looked at for body tattoos.

Unless I'm missing something, this isn't true. You can easily use different body textures for different NPCs in Skyrim by creating an armor addon using the body mesh and chosen texture, making a new armor form using that armor addon, and setting the NPC's skin to that armor form.
