Concept - Proposition for Uriel Septim

Ok, the whole thing starts from a simple fact: i never liked the appearance of Uriel Septim in Oblivion. I always found his facial features too soft, teddy bear-like. His appearance was not so regal, and i think it didn't convey all the wisdom, the severity and decision of this character.

Some days ago i was watching around youtube some videos of the very firsts TES, and when i saw the video introduction of Daggerfall... That actor was simply PERFECT for Uriel!

So, i decided to propose one thing: the appearance of Uriel, in my opinion, should be more similar to how he looks like in Daggerfall than in oblivion. This is a very quick sketch i made just before starting this topic:

I even thought if the beard was appropriate for him, because i thought that the only reason they didn't put the beard in the emperor is that... there is no beard in oblvion ._. but i see that he didn't have it even in daggerfall (and i refuse to consider arena for this detail :P ), so i think it was a choice in his case.

Tell me what do you think about it! :D

If you look at the NPC in game, you can see quite a few similarities but unfortunately, the potential to get a perfect look was bottle-necked by Oblivion's smudge faces. When his face is re-done for Skyblivion, it will be much better.

I say we should definitely refer to this man's face when we model the new Uriel, I certainly agree that it captures the character well, and plus, it could add a pinch of continuity with daggerfall.

oblivion got these ugly faces so that not much to go on but but hey should get a face that stands a out a bit among the rest same whit martin

also after seeing the daggerfal intro  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=niU1bRqxrIU

Unless you are going to do it yourself, proposing something is irrelevant since noone will do it for you. Skyblivion is not Skywind, only 3 programmers are working on it currently.

So go create a new race with custom face models, and facegen some NPC to look as in movie, then upload required files. They will be gladly included in Skyblivion.

Yes, i noticed that there is some resemblance between the actor and the Oblivion version, i even thought that the voice in Oblivion was from the same actor, but no, the voice in oblivion is from Patrick Stewart. But as it has been said, in Oblivion all the models are.. just ugly, and i think it could be a great idea to base the modelling from the actor itself than the model in oblivion. ^.^

@zilav well, is not so irrilevant, this topic will remain here as a reminder of a proposition, and when in the future the team will start to work with Skyblivion, everyone can decide if taking in account these things or not. :) And unfortunately i know nothing about 3d modeling, the best ways i can contribute in here is with artworks, music and maybe translation when the time will come.
