New on the forums

Submitted by policiacaro on

I just watched the video for the Skywind project, and I immediately fell in love. I figured I should at least post on the forums and introduce myself, so here I am. My name is David, and Morrowind is one of my all-time favorite RPG's.

I'd like to help out in anyway possible with the Skywind Project, so I'll be checking the development forums and trying to get ahold of people and seeing what I can do. I don't have much experience with 3d modeling or anything, but I am a pretty quick learner, and I could most definitely help out with mundane tasks, like Data Entry (especially since I just got fired). I have a pretty nice system setup, so maybe I'll play around with the creation kit and see what I can learn and where I can apply myself, but for now, I hope that I can help the dev team in any way, shape, or form.

I am very, VERY excited about this project, I just don't think I can express that enough.

I'm sure we're all happy to have you onboard, sorry to hear about the job though :(

This is a good place to find tasks

Welcome!

Getting to know the Creation Kit and other tools is definitely a step in the right direction. The more you know the more useful you can be, and learn some fun things along the way! :) Prepare for some of the tools to be highly technical.

If you are interested in writing check out this thread: http://tesrenewal.com/forums/skyrim/skywind-development-forums/quests-and-npcs/8398

I highly recommend spending a few hours reading through the forums, there's a lot going on and reading through threads will get you up to speed. It will also introduce you to do's and don'ts which aren't immediately obvious to some, for instance - don't suggest project name changes, do check to see if someone has done something before starting it, etc etc.

See you around.
