Consistency?

I don't think this belongs in any forum lol. It's pretty irrelevant.

I thought there weren't any trolls in morrowind...

Honestly, when it comes to titles, I think being catchy is the #1 factor. And Skywind is way catchier than morrorim :P

.. and I thought there can't be more worse threads than "transition" ones. We've got a new local meme here, "consistency" :)

p.s. Don't even think about posting in Skyblivion, please.

I'm a long time lurker, still looking for some way to help in my limited spare time.

I had to come on just to say that OP is whack. Please go take your "consistency" back to the underside of the bridge you live in.

Also, in before someone finds a way to ask about "consistency" and "time gap" in the same post.

Originally it was being called "Morroskyrim". I was one of the many who voted on a poll in favor of Skywind, because it is shorter and sounds nicer. The issue of a consistent naming approach was brought up back then (the argument being the same: that putting Skywind would mean putting Skyrim content into Morrowind, but that is ridiculous for obvious reasons).

Names are important, and having an attractive name bringing in people is much more important to the project than sticking with naming conventions which were arbitrary in the first place.

You seem to be the only one that cares about consistency in the freaking name here. That concept is so bizarre I dont even know where to start.

By the way, this guy's other thread is about making Skyrim for Morrowind. He makes it sound like it just needs a few low res meshes and we'll be good to go.

Postscript:  It's a shame I wasn't here for that vote.

Yes, because your awesome ability to critique names would have secured you a vote.

My other thread isn't just "making skyrim for morrowind"; it's making Skyrim for Oblivion and Morrowind and making Oblivion for morrowind.  I never said "a few low res meshes and we're good to go"; I said it would be worth it to do the hard work, namely on meshes/textures and quests, to get the end result.

It's very apparent that you really don't know how much work that would require. Just look at this project and how much effort it is taking... what you're asking for is an absurd amount of effort to appeal to how many people? You?

I have played and loved the ES series since Morrowind, but I would never play Skyrim on Morrowind's engine. Its backwards and silly.

Leave the good people here alone so that they can work on this awesome project. I'm by no means an authority on the issue here, but I'm pretty sure the leads have to stop what they're doing to read your nonsense, so please quit posting your erratic ideas here.

Why don't you go work on a Skyrim game built for Pong's engine. Should be right up your alley

LOL

There aren't enough people interested in putting Skyrim/Oblivion content into Morrowind (and probably less for Skyrim into Oblivion. I can't think of any reason you'd actually prefer the Oblivion engine except for attributes, which a Skyrim mod adds) for how large of a project it would be. You could do it, but by the time it's done, TES 7:Return of the Dwarves (or something more ridiculous) would be out.

Well, cool. Go start then. I'm guessing you must be about 18, so that give you at least 60 years to work on it. Good Luck!

The only reason this thread still exists is because moderators are sleeping/working now.

There are threads for modeling work, quests work, navmeshing, etc. If you are not going to help, you'd better not post at all because it sounds like demanding others to do something for you.

Really! Really!

This is the most active topic on the site.

Move along, Move along. There's nothing to see here

This thread needs to be locked and stickied, and then retitled to: "how not to post"

It's just a damn name, nobody cares.
