Sheogorad Region

As some of you may already know, I've decided to try my luck at landscaping for the first time. I will be doing the Sheogorad region and will post some screenies every now and then when I feel that I've made decent enough progress. So, here's a few to get started.

It looks nice, particularly if it is your first try :)

Please do keep us informed on how this is progressing. It is a pleasure to see some visually perceptible progress being made on the project :P

Just don't overdo with rocks, or some regions will look the same.

Yeah, eloth mentioned that to

Yeah, eloth mentioned that to me earlier. I'll try to keep hills hilly rather than mountanous :)

On a side note, my pc has disappointed me, had to get a new graphics card. Hence, I haven't been able to do much until recently...

Anywho, I'm touching up some beaches around the area so have a screenie.

For sheogorad, me and eloth

For sheogorad, me and eloth have been playing with some rocks, in between a million other things :p

will probably be a while till u get "sheo shards" for landscaping, and they must be done in a certain way (and height)
They'll be LOD's too.

this is one of the 1st methods ingame

Glad to see your not dead

Glad to see your not dead hikick!

Agree that just using the original skyrim models starts to get a bit repetitive, and also they really are geared up for a rugged mountainous look. But on the same note leaving heightmaps and land textures as rock surfaces look ugly and out of place.

So I've made a new set of alternative smooth meshes to reflect a more wind/ash blasted rocks, which I think gives some of the original style of hilly terrain.

At the moment I have done the mountain set, so below is an example of the mountain peak as it is and a new smooth version.

That. That is what I find to be the biggest problem.
