Indecency Bug Fix

I occasionally get a little overzealous when I come across things I think I can fix. I'm fairly certain this fixes the bug where everyone remarks on your lack of clothing despite wearing some. I tested it a bit and it stopped getting the comments, and I still get them when I am actually naked, so I'll say it's a good first effort. I'd like some people to test it further and see if I missed anything or if it doesn't work in all situations. I roamed around Seyda Neen and Vivec harrassing NPCs to see if they made remarks.

Regarding the indecency bug:

There's a script that computes your clothing value each time you equip/unequip something. It starts when you start a new game in morrowind and stores the current value in a global variable.

I explored a similar fix as you but the description of getClothingValue is very vague in the wiki... http://www.creationkit.com/GetClothingValue

It is pretty vague, but it seems to be working, so I have some hope it will hold. If nothing else, it could be a nice in-between measure till something better can be developed.

I tried out both your mods and they work brilliantly! Ive been all over morrowind(including the dlc) and its simply works :D and when u take off ur clothes they npc's start bitching about u being nude again xD

We used the same thing in different ways. His was much less labor intensive than my approach. My only concern is that some of the dialogue options use quantities like <150 and a couple that are >2000 for that value. The getClothingValue command uses numbers 1-100. I have intentions of looking at vanilla Skyrim to see how they implemented the function tomorrow and see if I can glean some insight. At this time you will always have some aristocrats complain about you being a peasant (not unrealistic) and never hear the couple of comments that really praise your outfit. It does keep people from griping about your private parts being out, though.

What I discovered this morning is that there is no use of getClothingValue when it comes to whether or not a person is naked. They use just a generic check for whether or not a person is wearing a cuirass type clothing item, hence why I can run around in cheap shoes in Skywind and they think I'm clothed, but take my shirt off in Skyrim and they get all huffy. This is probably a case of being a bit nitpicky about the details at a point where we are happy not to be accused of indecent behavior.
