Do you know the general rule on glass, ebony, iron etc?
If you choose glass, we ask you to make all the glass weapons and armour, for the sake of visual consistency.
This looks like chitin compared to my concept ;) A thing about material though - I think chitin armour is not expensive enough to have volcanic glass goggles - according to lore the goggles of chitin and netch armors were made of resin, and that's how I drew them (one dark brown and the other orange'ish). That's a minor thing though, if you really want to stick to green glass though I don't see why not :P
It looks great! I do have some suggestions though. Adding some contrast and dirt will help. Keep in mind what its made of and how a person would be making this. A armor that is too clean and precise will look artificial to the player. Use some photo overlays to get some texture. Keep up the great work!
I love it! I can't wait to see how they're going to look with their final textures!
This got me wondering if there were any plans to use some of the features found in the wet & cold mod on the Nexus so NPCs and characters could react to the ash storms and get covered in the stuff. I know this is pretty superficial stuff at this point but it would be an incredible touch for the immersion!
I like the face and chest piece so far. What are your intentions for the greaves section by the way? For now it looks very similar to the chitin set and although I like the scale look of it I'm thinking maybe it could look more paddy since it's leather? Looking forward to the rest of it :)
Kura please use 30% of your usual polycount for these models when u finish.
DO not bake at 4096, bake in 2048.
SPend more time in zbrush creating detail.
Looks really good so far :D Could you correct the colours a bit though? In the original concept the leather was much darker and more grey'ish. First - that would be the look of hardened leather, and secondly it would blend in better in the ashlands ;) Also - those little bits at the bottom of the mask were supposed to be breathing tubes, not spikes :P
Hmm, i thought Glass armour is created.

It could always be added in after in a user made mod for Skywind.
there would be no cold. It would be blight and dehydration, where the ashlands, red mountain and molag amur were most dangerous.
"AshFall"
Wet and cold has support for the ash from Dragonborn.
When in the region, during an ash storm, or in particularly ashy places overall, npc's will don goggles and facemasks to protect their eyes and lungs.
im gonna start skinning them, and im going to apply a env map to it to make it look like armor
not in the least bit bothered about solsthiem until skywind vvardenfell is near completion

if this is netch leather, we will have to tile a unique leather alpha over it anyway. Netch leather is a more lightweight sponguey leather.
