Pretty much what the title says, the files are checked and it won't let me start a game in Morrowind and I can't see the arrow in Skyrim although I have the mod downloaded.

Skywind files are showing up in the Data Files, but I can't play anything from Skywind

Have you tried starting a new game?
Try command console cow wrldmorrowind 5,5
to test if you have the morrowind world setup
Yeah try starting a new game and you should get a menu pop up saying Skyrim or Morrowind. You pick from that. Otherwise, open the console and type cow wrldmorrowind -5 -5 and you'll be taken to balmora :P
The pop-up doesn't show up and teleporting also does not work.
Did you drag and drop the 5GB bunch of files into the data folder?
did you add the skywind - patch.esp to your load order ?
It all shows up for me in the datafiles as well. I get the same message as Nowazorz Stated when I installed.
--------------
Nowazorz-
"it gives me an error in russian. 5 words, and then something about "C:\Steam\steamapps\commom\Skyrim\Data\meshes\morrowin d\architecture\common\doors\com_door01load.nif", 2 more words, and then "IS7zipExtract!""
--------------
Then I get another message entirely in Russian and the extraction stops at 90.5%. It continues the next step fully and states; there was an error try again (in my words)
I have tried to manually install it by the drag and drop but cannot seem to get any further than the installer.
I have Morrowind and the expansions installed (not steam)
Would appreciate any advice. Thanks
1. Use the installer when it is outside of the same folder as the downloaded assets, that will install the base esms without attempting to install the assets.
2. Extract the assets folder and install manually to the data folder.
Something went wrong with the installer.
Could U write a step through step guide how to install skywind v.0.9 , cause I cant get it work with those instructions :/ .

I'm having exactly the same experience, if only I spoke more russian. I knew I would regret not learning more russian.
Here is another way to install 9.0.
1. Download the Assets only! Then unpack them to your data folder.
This is very important. If you get an error unpacking redownload and try again. This step needs to be completed 1st if you have your /Steam Games folder on a separate drive from C: And this will also get rid of the Russian nif error.
2. Download the Installer to a folder/desktop away from the Zip file of the assets. If the assets zip file is not present the installer will skip the unpacking step and proceed to the next one. Then run it as an administrator and if asked, direct it to your Skyrim folder.
3. Open SkyrimLauncher and make sure Skywind.esm, and Skywind_Patch.esp are in the load order and checked to start when you start the game. If they are not, follow Step one again using Run as Administrator.
4. If you are running a lot of Mods, Make sure you run WyreBash or BOSS to correct the load order.
5. You should now be able to play.
6. Have Fun.
I was having the same problem, the installer finally finished, but when I go to the skyrim launcher and check to activate the skywind.esm it checks, but when I launch the game it's not there. So I tried to check it again and when I went back into data files it showed them unchecked, so they aren't staying checked.
EDIT:
The vanilla load screen one seemed to be messing with the skywind mod. It stays checked now, but still doesn't seem to load. I'm trying to use wrye with boss and change the order to see if that fixes it, but even with just skyrim and skywind it still didn't seem to work.
cow wrldmorrowind -5 -5 returns wrldmorrowind not being valid or something, so it's clearly not installing properly, or not detecting it properly. Any suggestions on how to get it working, or some bash tags that might get it working?
Ok so I have had a number of issues but I have finally got everything installed in my data folder. Start the skyrim launcher click on data files.
and its blank...??
how do I fix this?
Edit: I fixed it... so simple... "run as administrator"... haha had so much trouble getting this far I thought it be more complicated. haha
edit2: *sigh*.. well nothing happens. I also cannot unselect Skyrim.
Skyrim
Skywind Patch
Skywind
http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/475677-some-of-...
Now everything is staying checked (I reinstalled everything) but when I click for a new game it just stays at the logo screen and doesn't start a game, I have to pull up the console and qqq, and when I load a game, cow wrldmorrowind -5,-5 still gets that same error.
EDIT: I guess my game wasn't up to date, I'm going to update it and try again, anyone know if that might be a cause? I don't remember reading anywhere to make sure skyrim is up to date, so I'm not sure if that would effect anything.
EDIT: Okay, that did it. First thing is first I guess, make sure your skyrim is up to date! worked for me!
You're not supposed to be able to unselect Skyrim.esm, as Skyrim cannot run without Skyrim lol.
So this thing with the installer and the russian...
First I installed it manually like the suggestion in this thread, now when I did that everything seemed to work fine except for the distant LOD, now I went onto the forums to see what was the problem there and it seemed to be the problem the assets didn't install correctly.
So I went to uninstall and install again with the automatic installer, This is when I get the russian error which states something about the com_door01load.nif file from the morrowind installation folder...
So that doesn't work either for me, I just finished the manual installation yet again, and yet again the distand LOD really doesn't work in any way.
In another thread, which I can't seem to find anymore, it said the following .esm/.esp's where needed: Skywind.esm , Skywind - Patch.esp , SkywindAssets.esp. Now in every Install I did ofcourse I found the Skywind.esm and Skywind - patch.esp but never seemed to find the SkywinAssets.esp anywhere (Don't know if I really need this one?)
So far I've tried various fixes I could find in other threads but nothing seems to work for me. I don't know if I'm doing anything wrong here, or there's something wrong with the installation.exe or whatevs is going on.
I hope there's someone else who has had this problem or knows how to fix it?
I'm currently on Windows 8 Pro x64 (don't know if it matters)
