Can I be a voice actor for Skywind?

Submitted by MorrowindShorts on

Recently many of my viewers have wanted me to be a voice actor for Skywind. And if you want me to voice some Dunmer, I'll give it my best.  Here is a sample video of my voice ingame. Be sure to take a look at the feedback. Link Below

The sample video is really impressive. Perfect sounding Dunmer voice IMO.

YES. WE NEED DUNMER.

Are the Ordinators taken? I'll post some samples if you want. I can do a very dark or very relaxed style dunmer voice. Standard Ordinators are dark, and High Ordinators are on the relaxed side(when it comes to tone). I can also just make a mixture of random samples if that would better. So you can think of NPCs I could voice.

I like it.

Not bad - some of the lines wind up a little belchy at the end "Never seen a Redoran guard before?" But overall very nicely done!  Yes, we definitely need more Dunmer.  Go post this in the voice hub thread, so more people will see it and be able to reply.

Are you actually going to release what you did with the Redoran Guard as a mod?

Personally, I think that the voices are just too raspy, and are lacking in the sort of cockney attitude that most dunmer seem to have. When I hear it right now, I think more of ghouls from fallout rather than dunmer. I mean no disrespect however, I am simply trying to put in a critique with what little social experience I have.

However, what dunmer are you basing these voices off of? I've only played skyrim and Oblivion so far, so I am not sure, are these are based off of the smaller speech files from morrowind?

In Morrowind the Dunmer had very raspy voices. Skywind is using the Morrowind Dunmer voice in order to stay true to the original. Plus, the Oblivion and Skyrim Dunmer voices are awful.

Jeff Baker, the guy who did the voices for the Morrowind Dunmer (as well as Jiub from Dawnguard - if you've played that) did the voices of the Ghouls in Fallout.

So I just went and listened to jiub's voice in dawnguard. I don't like the current voice for jiub in skywind, like they are trying just waaaay too hard. I've completely changed my mind, I actually think now that Morrowindshorts should voice him instead.

Can we make that change? Morrowindshorts should get put into skywind. He is able to do those sort of voices where you don't hear the person behind it.

He is in it.
