Combat- Morrowind or Skyrim?

If this game is going to be made using the Skyrim engine, does that mean things like jump attacks from Morrowind will not be possible? As it stands in Skyrim jump attacks are not possible. Additionally I'm assuming the slash/stab/overhead mechanics will also not be there?

Thank you for answer this rather simple (and probably stupid) question.

From what I know, Skywind is

From what I know, Skywind is an incredible creation but down to it's core it's essentially just a Colossal Content mod even though at times it probably won't feel like it due to it's immense scale so therefor I don't believe such things would be added, however there is a mod currently in a WIP stage that is making it possible to do what you ask and it is going to be a modder's recourse when it is complete so who knows? maybe those who are working on Skywind will incoporate said mod into it

Here is the Link to it.

If you watch the video from the first post of this thread, you will see that jump attacks and spears are possible. If that mod/ressource will be a part of skywind is up to the devs.

It all depends on how much

It all depends on how much time can our chief programmer spend on his wizardry. I don't think in terms of combat we would be basing it so much after Morrowind - it wasn't the best aspect of it to begin with. But I definetly want them spears.

Yeah, even Morroblivion,

Yeah, even Morroblivion, which is far less ambitious than Skywind, has spears.

On a secondary note, I don't

On a secondary note, I don't really get why you would want the "jump&attack" back in the game. It's just plain dumb, useless on a tactical way and again, dumb. For Underwater combat, now that's something I'm lookin forward to.

The combat abilities that you are referring to that Skyrim is in need of is currently in the works. I don't know if the author of the mod is promoting it's use, but only suggests that it's a project that he wants to see as a modder's resource or plugin.
