I'm about to cut thousands of useless "greetings" lines. Specifically any non-unique, non-regional lines in order to not have as it currently sits 180 generic greetings per NPC plus their unique greetings (almost all are not implemented correctly currently). I don't expect this will conflict with anyones work but please speak now or hold your peace as this change will be irreversible once VA gets going. I will make sure variety is retained and that differing responses based on how much they like you will remain to some degree for future implementation. Tharrr be warned now.

Hmm yeah maybe I wasn't concise, we still will have the default greetings for anyone that doesn't have them. I'm just going to cut it down to 1 favourable/1neutral/1dismissivehate greeting per race/gender x 6 (then diversified so that any NPC only has 1/6th of the lines using my dialogue faction system so each NPC ends up with three responses(good/neutral/negative) + any unique. Rather than 180+unique. No way we're writing more content after scripts go out except for specialty quests/events.

That shouldn't interfere with
That shouldn't interfere with any of my people's work. That being said, we may need to eventually have a project where we write unique greetings for many of the NPCs who don't have any. Because without the default ones, a lot of the NPCs will have no opener to conversations.
In the meantime, you may want to save just one single generic line to use as a placeholder. Just a suggestion, though I clearly do not understand the intricacies of implementation as you do, so I could be totally off the mark.
