Dialogue interface

Hello

As you all know, Morrowind has an extensive dialogue system. You can basically ask any character about anything you’ve heard of in the game. Due to that, there is a big amount of dialogue options, and it would be very hard to navigate through them with basic Skyrim interface, especially using  keyboard and mouse.

Here is a nice example of this:

So I thought it would be better to make dialogue interface more  “Morrowind-ish” in Skywind. Since I don’t know how to make mods, I’ll just leave my suggestion here and you will decide whether or not to realize it.

I will attach a photoshopped picture to this post which shows what I have in mind. The picture is just a rough example of what I’ve come up with, you can modify it however you want.

As you see on the picture, if you correct fonts and colours of the boxes, this interface blends quite well with the game. But it is, indeed, too big and doesn't leave you much space to look around, but hopefully it’s fixable.

As I said before, I don’t know anything about makeing mods and don’t know  if it is even possible to change interface like this.

I hope you liked my design or at least the idea that Skyrim's dialogue interface needs to be changed in order to make it easier to use in Skywind.

Overhauling the Dialogue Menu is a big deal in terms of effort and time which may not yield changes depending on what elements are hard-coded. From playtesting our current system I think we'll be OK. I've been working on reducing the number of lines a given player has which helps. We have also grouped some types of lines under topics. I find you get used to it quite quickly. Unless someone is willing to do an overhaul, it's nowhere on my personal radar compared to other components which are more critical and easier to work on. Thanks for the suggestion though.

^^^This, thank you for stating, it is much better to group as I liked that idea rather then the cluttered Morrowind dialogue box, not hating on it and I am a fan of Morrowind but still felt it was overburdened. When Oblivion stared the new look of the dialog box everything felt so much better, as scrolling through the enormous text was overwhelming especially talking to random NPC's plus some people should NOT have certain topics.
