I have followed the installation instructions to the letter, but as you can see in the image below, I placed the resource archive into the appropriate folder, but Wrye Bash didn't recognize it's presence.

In order to get it to recognize, I had to figure out for myself to right-click the Installers window and select "Refresh Data" from the drop-down menu. That was not in the "Detailed Installation Instructions," and therefore I believe said instructions are not as detailed as you claimed.
It would benefit all if you added the step to refresh the data if Morroblivion doesn't automatically come up, which the instructions led me to believe would happen.

This is simple.... Wrye Bash
This is simple.... Wrye Bash is not recognizing because you don't have any extracting tool software installed ( such WinRAR, 7-Zip).
You don't need to place a zipped file to make Wrye Bash recognize and install the mods, you can extract manually and place the extracted folders on PATH:/Oblivion Mods/Bash Installers normally. People usually prefer to place zipped files because have less work lol
Try to install WinRAR and check again.
