Sound design & voice acting duo

Submitted by beech on

Hello,

My names Beech Pilkington, I'm a sound designer and engineer and I'd like to volunteer to work with you guys and help bring some life to the creatures and environments in the game, as well as all the little details that make a big impact in game.

I've recently teamed up with my friend, Fred Proud, with the aim of creating a sound design company that focuses on creating interesting & bespoke sound design that brings any on screen action to life. Whether you need the sound of a colossal beast on it's way to destroy yet another settlement or the sound of a strange elfish chicken wandering round the market place we're here to help.

Also if you need any building blocks for the sound design, textures like egg shells being crushed in clingfilm or melons being pulled and torn apart any thing like this to be recorded and distributed to other members of the sound design team to work from we'd be happy to help with this too.

We've already begun to compile and organize our library of clean foley recordings as well as sound design elements from previous projects.

I started off my career designing the every day sounds of insects, Eating, crawling, giving birth & hatching etc by taking recordings of pot-pourri being crushed, cabbages being torn up melon goo being squished, and mixing and manipulating these texture sounds to fit with the visuals on screen for natural history programs. I've also worked on the post prod for indie comedy dramas and recently finished post on a feature film (boxing & fight related) with a thriller genre with lots of stabs and blood and guts in the pipelines.

If you want to hear some of my work it's here on Vimeo.

All this work has been done from my own small studio so I'm used to taking email briefs and meetings over skype etc as well as keeping projects organized and delivered on time.

Fred is currently working at Clear cut in Soho after transferring from Angell sound earlier this year and has wide variety of experience under his belt working in production houses and designing sound which he'll tell you about at a later date. (he's at work while I'm writing this)

I've tried to keep this short and sweet so if there's anything you want to know just get in touch and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.

Look forward to making a start.

Thank you,

Beech

Sweet, you guys sound well equipped to add to the SFX team. CorpusX should be along shortly.

If you guys are interested in voice acting, feel free to post auditions in our race based audition threads in the forums here.
