[OUTDATED] Improved landscape lod and fps

Submitted by LethargicOwl on

I used tes4ll ( http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/40549/? ) to make some snazzy new landscape lod for morroblivion that fixes it up and makes it look much better overall. I also went in and removed some _far.nif files from my meshes bsa to get rid of some vwd objects like rocks/dungeon entrances for a boost in fps. Vivec's lod was left alone for immersion.

Usually I'll get a pretty consistent 60 fps in the wilderness now, I probably saw the biggest change when going to visit Dagoth Ur and the area in front of his tower was much smoother than I remember it being my first playthrough. Cities are still a mixed bag as far as fps goes depending on the number of npcs, but I still saw a slight improvement.

For improved landscape and removed vwd objects (+fps) download the meshes bsa and drop into your data folder, then run tes4lodgen.

If you just want the improved landscape with no removed objects then either download my meshes bsa and never use tes4lodgen (which will remove the vwd objects) or grab the standalone files and install them where they are needed.
