Actually, I've given it a lot of thought... and I think the best case scenario is to re-write parts of the MPP for Morroblivion rather than try to convert it. I did use MPP as a reference for some of my spelling corrections in my morroblivion-fixes patch but it is limited to item names and not dialog. Unfortunately, (IMO) most of the fixes it contains can not be readily converted by the ESPConverter method.
This is because many of the fixes in the Morrowind Patch Project (formerly Unofficial Morrowind Patch) are fixes to the quest scripts. Since most of the quest scripts in Morroblivion are re-written from scratch rather than converted from Morrowind, the MPP/UMP fixes aren't very useful (other than as a reference for how something should behave after fixed). Similarly, many of the stat adjustments made for Morrowind game balance won't be useful in balancing gameplay in the Oblivion engine.
If anyone is interested in helping with an MPP/UMP for Morroblivion project, what would really useful is a full Change Log describing every fix that the MPP contains. Then we can figure out which fixes are irrelevant, which fixes are already implemented and which fixes can be put in a todo list to be re-written in Oblivion engine. Anyone have any other ideas on how to go about doing this?
