Lugrubs Axe - Imperial Legion Quest Issues

Submitted by Me on

I apologise in advance if this is done incorrectly as I am new to this sort of thing but I have come across some issues while playing the Imperial Legion storyline. Eventually I will do all of the quest lines and find all of the issues but I do things in a set order. So far the issues found are:

  • Lugrub's axe is not in lake, it is below the ground
  • Assumanu has no map marker
  • Killing the Mabrigash severs the prophecy
  • Male Breeding Netch can't be interacted with
  • After Sorkvild quest Radd Hard-Heart says "I am at your service knight of the Imperial Dragon" regardless of rank.

For having finished Fort Darius, Fort Buckmoth and almost Fort Moonmoth that is pretty good.

Next will be the last of the Legion, Imperial Cult, Tribunal Temple, Mage's Guild, Thieves/Fighter's guild (Yes both are done at the same time), Telvanni, Redoran, Hlaalu, Daedric Quests, Main Quest.

If anyone wants me to check a particular questline just tell me I am already working through the Daedric quests so it won't change much.

I am not a modder. the only time I tried modding I crashed the game and corrupted my save file so I do not do it anymore. But I am willing to playtest any mod that someone needs tested.

Bug: During the Imperial Legion missions when you have to go save Madura Seran. After I pay for her release there is no travel or follow me back to the garrison. She stands their and doesn't do anything.

For Madura Seran could you open up the console with "~" and type in "addtopic 1travelStogether" and see if that fixes it? Do you use OBSE? Elys Silent Voice plugin should help with the dialogue speed.

*legion mission gnisis - lugrub ogdums axe is positioned in a stone unreachable and his ghost picks it up for fighting an enemy ghost in the cell

*lugrub threats one to attack after 10 seconds, but he doesn't attack

*I get no imperial armor parts for solving the imperial legion quests

*Imperial legion faction has no icon

I just downloaded the mod yesterday, but I have experienced the same problems as well with the Imperial Legion questline.

-I had to kill varners ghost to get Lugrub's axe

-I do not obtain any armor upon advancement in rank

-And for the scrap metal quest, I don't believe scrap metal exists anywhere

Overall though its still an amazng mod, exactly what i've been trying to find for a year.

  • Scrap metal does exist, just kill any dwemer enemies, such as dwemer spiders, centurions, etc. I think scrap metal can also be found in dwemer ruins like Arkngthand next to Fort Moonmoth.
  • I also have the problem of not getting armor upon rank advancement.

Whew. This took me all day! I believe I have addressed everything here. Except, some of the things pointed out are supposed to be the way they are, like killing an Ashlander severing the thread of prophesy. And, no, you can't interact with any Netch after they're dead, except to loot them. You can walk right through their bodies. They aren't finished yet, and Eloth has been... preoccupied with other things!

I have an issue with Lugrubs Axe. I can find it easily, but whenever I go to talk to Darius... or anyone even, they all say, "You're not going anywhere with that axe!" and then begin to attack me! What do I do?

Thank you, I found the problem. There is an error in the dialog where it is flagged as "Or." So, if you have this item in your inventory, OR you talk to Lugrub gro-Ogdum, the NPC will attack you. I"m sorry, you can ~SetStage fbmwILWidowLand 70 and Don't carry the Axe around. ETA on the fix is sometime this weekend.

There is a Quest Marker that should be pointing right at the Axe if you have the Quest Active. For the ID get a copy of FormIDFinder from Nexus... but doing it this way is more compicated than it should be.

I just checked, and the quest marker is pointing towards the ghost. He IS wearing an axe at his side, but I don't know if that's normal or not. If not, then I have no clue how to get it off him.

You're supoosed to talk to the gost, then he tells you about the Axe, then you go get the Axe.

I've tried each topic. I've tried the "Broken axe" topic several times, to no avail. I have the quest update in my quest journal, yet the quest marker still points to him.

I had that problem too in 0.27, but i installed the

MuffinShare mod, and that fixed it :)

Is there a way to obtain the ID for this item?

Despite the fact that it's been (allegedly) fixed, I still can't seem to find it. I've updated to 0.27, and have checked the bug reports, but still cannot find it. I've even tried pickpocketing the ghost to see if perhaps he hadn't taken it, to fight off the other ghost.

Currently the only obstacle to my enjoyment of this project. Aside from this little issue, Morroblivion is great. I've tried playing Morrowind (with the Overhaul). My computer can't handle most of what the overhaul offers, so I'm left with slightly improved textures.

Morroblivion, on the other hand, allows me to experience Morrowind (the environment and story) with an engine that actually works. At this point, the story is all I really want. I can't even begin to imagine how long/hard it has been to get this up and running the way it does.

Moved the lugrubs Axe thread here  :)

That MuffinShare mod did the trick. As I suspected, the ghost had picked up the axe.

the axe is supposed to lie in the bottom of the lake/pool, just check morrowind cs and use

that as a reference.

Sorry, this one is going to have to wait till I can get up to Gnisis and play through it myself.

I have no idea what to make of this. This quest worked Flawlessly for me. Follow the Quest Markers is all I can say. The Axe is right there in the water and very easy to find with a quest marker pointing right at it. I cannot explain the Axe being in inventory. My one and only guess is that I have started a new game. Persistant References don't like to be changed, so with various versions of this Master something obviously didn't update. There is an "Update NPC Levels..." Command in Wrye Bash (Right-Click on a Saved Game). This might reset the NPC's inventory for something like this.

I have now played through all five of General Darius's Imperial Legion Quests in Gnisis. I updated the AI and scripts for the two NPC's that follow the player, Madura Seran and Ragash gra-Shuzgub, but aside from that all five quests work without a hitch. I am now a Champion of the Imperial Legion. Buckmoth Legion Fort will probably be my next Imperial Legion stop, but that will be at least a week from now, probably more. I've still got to explore the area around Gnisis, including some wonderful Dwemer ruins.

Nice work, thank you for doing all these fixes as you go!

Exploring is all what Morrowind is about. Go for it!

sorry I have to dig this up, but I just did the quest using version 0.32 and the ghost of vabdas is still picking up the axe to fight some random ancestral ghost (which spawns right next to him and probably shouldn't be there, can't remember being dismembered by one in the first legion quest back in morrowind).

Persistant References do not like to be changed. Once you have seen him; many of the things I have changed will not take effect. If you have a save from before you ever entered the mine that will work. If not, the only way to address this in your current game is to make a totally clean save without Morroblivion. Otherwise, start a new game.

The very first time I entered that particular section of the cave (running v32), he ran off to grab the axe. He didn't quite manage to do so (probably because the additional ghost died within a couple of seconds), but the intent was definitely there.

I also found two ghosts in the Gateway Inn.

Your game has some old references. Seemingly random things like this will probably keep occurring for you unless you make a "Clean Save." I do recommend a clean save, or start a new game.

I had the same problem with the axe. The ghost kept picking it up to fight the enemy in the room and even when trying to pickpocket the ghost, the axe wasnt in his inventory. I fixed this by taking a few fortify speed potions, and as soon as I entered the room I raced past him and beat him to the axe. Simple work-around.

Couldn't be bothered to outrun the ghost, so I used "player.additem 01100070 1" after the ghost snaffled the axe

I found an item list here, though I don't know if it has everything in it:
