Missing NIF Files

Submitted by soucy666 on

Hello there.

I've been playing Morroblivion, but I've been having problems with the NIF files.

I have loads of NIF files missing, and I'm certain I've installed all of the Morrowind plugin on the site.

The missing NIF files are for the items:

  • Good Skooma Pipe
  • Balmora Guard (likely Bonemold)
  • All Chitin Weapons
  • All Ordinator Armour
  • multiple NPC clothing in Urshilaku Camp
  • World Teleport NPCs
  • Urshilaku Burlial Caverns, Karma - Dead Adventurer item
  • Netch Leather Armour
  • Demon Helm
  • Iron Tower Sheild
  • Fists Of Randagulf
  • All Dwemer Armour
  • and the Vvardenfell Iron Helmet

Based on the NIF files I'm missing, I hope someone can tell me which install package to download.
Because I've tried them all twice.

Thank you

Try Vvardenfell Imports. You might have only downloaded the patches, rather than Imports themselves. I've did it when I first played Morroblivion.

That's the 30 mb one, correct?

Oops.
Just realised where the whole thing is exactly.
I'll try it out once it's done downloading and let you know.

No.
Still doesn't work.
What order do the plugins have to be loaded in with the Mod Manager?

Vvaredenfell Imports is a very large installation, over 400mb in size. I believe there are four files. There are detailed instructions in the readme, Erstock made a post of them on these forums, and I believe Thermador made a video somewhere, maybe on the FAQ page.

I've installed, reinstalled, and reinstalled the Vvardenfell Imports plugin but I still get the giant yellow "WTF I'm a missing mesh" thing.
And the only thing the readme says is to extract all of them and activate it in the Oblivion Launcher.

By the way I used oblivion mod managed not wyre bash

One mistake that I made that resulted in yellow exclamation marks was creating the Vvardenfell Imports omod file using the folder of Vvardenfell Imports that contained the data folder with the texture and mesh folders inside of the data.  After I made the omod file from adding just the folder of Vvardenfell Imports that contained the texture and mesh folders the esp this would go here too, there were no yellow exclamation marks.

Hope this will help you.  30mb sounds very small-make sure you are using the links provided and remember parts one and two are under mirrors on the nexus site! My entire folder of Vvardenfell Imports is 1.63gb

I know.
I found the actual import (didn't figure it would be a MegaUpload mirror)
And it was a real bitch, but I installed it manually.
Turned out I was just missing a few of the folders in it.  I have no idea how the hell that happened.
But it works just fine now.
Thank you guys.

Haha I had a similar experience with Megaupload! I started the second download before the first was finished but remembered that there were no parallel uploads and couldn't download for about 15minutes!
