House Hlaalu Orator problems [more problems apearing]

now that the wise woman is done with her stuff, i stumbled upon a new error....

when i went to do the hlaalu hortator quest, all the counsil members claimed that i was involved in the death of a hlaalu counsil member.....strange as all the members are still alive and where they are suposed to be.

havent checked with redoran or telvanni yet, but might be that the same thing happend to them. i will post my findings later on

Same Problem

I have the same problem as well, except in my case I did end up killing Dren because he attacked me on sight when I entered his plantation ealier in the game... I figured I might as well keep going seeing as how I had to kill him later anyways. If you find a way around it let me know please.

most obvious way around is trough console commands, but that woul greatly harm the story because you miss an intire questline then. so i would not recomend that. i think i will try and let the first guy( forgot his name, the imperial in hlaalu plaza) force me the vote trough console commands, maybe this will trigger the right scripts for the other counsil members.

not even the console works.... this is maybe caused by recent changes to curio? since there used to be a bug near him. could also be my files not working right, since i also had the wise woman trouble few days back. either way guess theres not much to change about this. think this is gonna be a job for the debug team then

Could you not just use the completequest <questID> command in the console to keep from completing every part of the quest? Although you do need to find the specific quest ID for Curio, I tried the Morrowind quest id but it doesnt work (no suprise really), and I really have no clue as to what the morroblivion id for it might be.

Confusing House Hlaalu issue

So, I've run into this problem and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions.

I'm currently going through becoming Horator to house Hlaalu in Morroblivion. Everthing seemed to be going fine when I got to Crassius, who told me that there were hard feelings concerning the death of a Hlaalu councilor and that he couldn't support me.

So at first I'm thinking that I must have messed up and killed someone I shouldn't have, and start going through the list of all the Hlaalu councilors in order to see how far back I'd have to go. And this is when the confusion began: They're all alive, or at least putting on a very convincing performance of being so.

Anyone have any idea what could be going on here? Are there other people I can kill to get on the Hlaalu blacklist?

if you put just MQhlaalu to 50 it should make you hortator, but it still gives the same reactions from all the counsil members

sqt should give you your current quest id, so you know that for the future

I tried your fix, and it worked for Curio, but the other Hlaalu councilers dont have the topic appearing in their topic menu so I can't really get their vote. I tried "addtopic 1hlaaluShortator" but the topic still doesnt appear

OK here is a fix that just adjusts the order of conditions on this dialogue. Henshu's fix deletes the conditions entirely, which should not be done. The problem was that AND logical operators should come before OR logical operators, not the other way around, which was the problem with this dialogue topic.

so many thanks for that fix. i went berzerk on the game afterwards and just completed the rest of the main quest in one go :D

I had found and fixed this for the next release. Thank you to Thermador for releasing a patch until then.

I've completed the main quest 2 days ago. I didn't use any mod, except that fixes the rat problem (about pillows), which is the first quest of the Fighter's Guild. I didn't do any Morag Tong quest, since when I've killed Feruren Oran, I can't hand over the writ to the guards to remove the bounty, so I had to read the saved game and leave the quest alone.

Anyway I didn't encount any problem during the main quest; my morroblivion version is 0.52, the latest so far.

In relation to the Hortator questlines, I am having a problem as well. Mine being for House Redoran, with the NPC Garisa Llethri. I have done laps around the Llethri Manor and Garisa is absolutely nowhere to be found. Other NPCs in the manor direct me to Garisa's private bedroom but alas, there is only 2 guards present. No Garisa. Maybe a quick console solution? I'm not sure what the NPC ID's would be or furthermore what the correct command is. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

During daytime he could be in Redoran Council Hall. Otherwise - either in Private Quaters or Bedrooms of his manor.

If all else fails - follow the quest marker.
