Ergnir the Smith in fighter's guild, Ald'Ruhn, doesn't recognise guild membership.

as the title says, Ergnir in Ald'ruhn refuses to barter with me because I'm not a member of the guild, though I'm really is.

As far as I know merchant refusals were addressed in v024. I don't even know where to start with this one. Please tell me Exactly what he says so that I can look it up.

He says "If you want my help, you need to join up. Fighter's guild members only".

On a related note, I can't use the guild chest either, it's red.

OK, Ergnir had somehow become a member of the Cyrodiil Fighters' Guild as well as being part of the Morrowind Fighters' Guild. You would currently need to also belong to the Cyrodiil Fighters' Guild to deal with him. Chests are not owned by factions because we're still trying to work that out. Currently, if the cells are owned by the Faction like they're supposed to be, then all the NPC's follow you around like puppy dogs. Not being able to access guild chests is currently the lesser of two evils. I have removed Ergnir's Cyrodill Guild Membership for the next release which should come sometime today or tomorrow.

I agree, that's the better solution!
