Rescue Varvur Sarethi bug

everything is going well except varvur sarethi wont enter sarethi manor, and there is no option to say to athyn that you have saved his son. which is pretty annoying since i cant carry on the main quest.

This is not a bug in this quest. When ANY NPC is following you like this, you will often need to make sure that they are close enough to the entrance you are about to enter before entering it yourself.

i have. i pushed him right against the door and it still doesnt work. i wouldnt have asked if i thought i havent done anything i could think of but thank you for the responce.

I'm sorry, but I have no idea what to tell you. I've done this quest multiple times, both in-game and in playtesting. I just tried it again from an old save and had no problems whatsoever. Varvur followed me right to his father, and the quest updated as soon as we were both in Sarethi Manor. You may have a conflict somewhere, but I have no idea what mods you have installed.

no mods aside from morroblivion are installed but thank you for your help anyway. hopefully it will fix itself.
