Issue with Fighter´s Guild quests

Hi:

I started the following quest: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Juicedaw_Ring and even having a 100% NPC disposition I can´t get the "JuiceDaw Ring" conversation option from Nar gro-Shagramph. If I kill kim I even do not found such ring on his body. If I return to Lorbumol gro-Aglakh to tell about Nar gro-Shagramph demise the quest do not update properly (because the any option related to the quest success or failure do not appear).

So, in conclusion I can not progress the Vivec Fighter´s Guild quests. Any workaround?

Somebody else had the same problem, but most people don't. As always, to debug something or see what you are doing wrong, I need very detailed information, not just "I can´t get the "JuiceDaw Ring" conversation option". I can't do anything with that. What topics have you discussed with whom? in what order? -MOST- Quests in Morrowind work by first giving you a teaser topick about something, like in this case, the Juicedaw Feather Ring. Then, another topic appears in the NPC's dialog that is the REAL trigger for the quest, and nothing will happen if you don't pursue this second topic. That is my guess here, but since I don't know what you have done, I can only guess.

Hi, I made sure I picked the correct option to receive the quest and the instructions. Clicking again in these options will tell me again what to do. After that I get the bug described. So I go again to the quest giver and did not found any other new conversation option to tell him about the target demise. I clicked once again on all previous quest topics but still I can not make any progress.

I had said that I needed very detailed information. Saying that you have done "everything correctly" does not give me anything to go on.

Alas, I must announce that I too have been plagued by this issue with the juicedaw ring quest, but I'll try to be as detailed as I can.

1. I went to Lorbumol gro-Aglakh for the quest. After hitting "Orders" and he gave the intro dialogue, the Juicedaw Feather Ring topic DID show up, and the quest entered my journal after he went through that dialogue sequence.

2. I went to Nar gro-Shagramp, and raised his disposition as high as I could get it (over 60), but the dialogue topic for the ring never showed up.

3. I tried a new test character who obtained the quest from Lorbumol gro-Aglakh, and had the same result.

4. I went into the CS, and saw that for the dialogue topic "Juicedaw Feather Ring" to show up on Nar Gro-Shagramp, the quest places the condition that the Juicedaw Feather Ring is in his inventory. It was not in my game. When I added the ring to his inventory with the console, the dialogue topic showed up and the quest was completable. Similarly, when I made a plugin that put it in his inventory (I just added it straight to his inventory, no additem scripts linked to the quest or anything like that), the dialogue topic showed up.

So, at least in my case, the problem seems to be that the ring is not in gro-Shagramp's inventory when it should be. I hope that helps to enlighten the issue.

Thank you, Tanweth, for that information. I have updated Nar gro-Shagramp's inventory to include the ring, have updated the criteria for the interaction, and have added a script so that it should be possible, if necessary to complete the quest by stealing or looting the item from gro-Shagramp.
