The dwemer puzzle box from the main quest isn't where it should be in the dwemer ruin. The quest marker points to where it should be but it isn't there. Is there a fix? Or if you could just give me the console command to skip to the next stage in the quest that would be great.

That quest pointer is only pointing you in the general direction of an object or destination.
So if it is pointing at a wall then you know that it is either up above or in another place in that direction.
I will give you a further clue go to the hollow hand section and look closely at the old cogs on the shelves,it is somewhere in that cell.But it is fairly small and kind of hidden on one of those old shelves.

The puzzle box hasn't been moved - it is in the same location as original morrowind.
However, you have to trigger all of the dialogue topics with Hasphat Antabolis before you go off to Arkngthand to get it. Make sure that Hasphat has nothing left to say to you.
I have done this quest about 10 times in the last 10 versions of Morroblivion; I know it works.
I went back to talk to
I went back to talk to Hasphat. All his chat options are grey now, and the dwemer puzzlebox is not in the cell of hollow hands. I have checked umpteen times. Especially the shelves with the cogs on them. I also checked everyother room in the ruin with equal thoroughness. I think I just need the formID of the puzzlebox.

Basically, go in the entrance to Arkngthand. Skirt the edge all the way down to the bottom. Climb up / walk up some rocky boulders to the second "level" of the exposed Dwemer architecture. On the left side is the entrance to the OTHER part of the Cells of the Hollow Hand. Kill "Boss Crito" or whatever his name is. The puzzle box is on a shelf to the left as you walk in.

My mistake thermador,but I remember it being on the ground underneath that shelf rack in the original game as I had to crouch to see it from the entrance as I went in.
But it`s a long time since I played the original.

Wrong section. Whatever. Do you have the latest master? Are you sure its not there? If you wanted to add it to your inventory I guess you could go into the CK and find the form ID and then use the console to add it.
