BUG - Sellus Gravius

Submitted by Oblisgr on

Hello,

I noticed a bug in Sellus Gravius dialog.

When he asks for your papers, he removes them form player's inventory. If you close the dialog at this time, without asking information about package, Caius Cosades etc that will move the questline foward, he will ask for the papers again, and again.

Maybe when he removes the papers, the quest stage must move foward, so if the player starts a new dialog, the Sellus Gravius will recognize that he has removed the papers, and open the common dialog with the new quests.

This is serious bug because if the player does this mistake, he will be forced to  start a new game.

That's Morrowind. We had to deal with inconsistencies in Morrowind as well as trying to convert to Oblivion. Like, Caius telling you to come back when you have more experience, but then if you asked him again he forgot what he had just said and gave you the quest anyway, regardless of whether or not you had actually gotten any more experience. This particular "bug" has been fixed... which then resulted in Many people reporting "bugs" that Caius wouldn't give them the Quest, even though he did so in Morrowind. Fixing Sellus would be easy, but, with so many other things to do it has always had a very low priority since everybody knows what they are supposed to do and, usually, do it that way...

In Morrowind Caius does not have a level requirement, he just recommends you get a cover identity, but will still give orders should you wish it.
