How to Port Armors?

Submitted by TGPomy on

Hey guys.  I'd be willing to port armors over to the Skyblivion (whatever the final name is) project if I knew how.  I have the models, and I have 3ds Max.  I've ported helmets before, but those are easy.  I just need to know how to port armors themselves.  For example, how do I change the model to match the t-pose of Skyrim's skeleton?  Also, I need to know how to weight-paint, fit the model to the skeleton, etc..  If anyone is willing to give me an in-depth explanation on porting armors to Skyrim from other games, I could most certainly help out.  Lots of people do it, and I send them messages, but I get responses that usually don't help someone like me who isn't that experienced with rigging and porting.  Thanks.

Go ask alex. But I think he has all the armors cover already.

Who is alex?  By the way, I still would like to know how to do this anyways, because despite this project I'd like to port over from other games into Skyrim as well.
