Hey, I installed Skywind about a week ago, firstly congrats on your team getting to this point :) I've also trawled through the forums for several hours to try and get as much information about the project as possible.
I instantly started looking at where improvements could be made in Skywind. So I dove in and started altering Seyda Neen, mainly to get an idea about how Skywind is structured. I got the basic idea about the folder structure of meshes and textures, and what assets are being used between Morrowind/Obilivion and any possible retexturing by various authors.
Then a read today "Robbinsmoth Asset creation for Skywind", which basically states that he/she is also doing some retexturing of assets around Seyda Neen as well.
It made me relise that going forward with this project that you are probably going to get a lot of people like this who maybe don't want to sign up fully for the project, but can make changes that may benefit.
Heres my question, how can what is being edited be more visible to everybody? Unless you already have a good handle on this because I haven't "signed" up officially. I have gone through as many threads as I can to get an idea about project management/coordination, but there is a lot to try and catch up on being a new user and looking at how morroblivion was coordinated over the course of 4 years is too much for me :-P
I completely understand that to get to this point that it has been a case of mainly trying to export morroblivion into the skyrim engine and altough lots of work has been done to customize Skywind, it probably hasn't been a priority to think too much about model retouching, retexturing and general level design (cell editing).
However I think the success of porting Morrowind into Skyrim is going to be in getting as many people to help out with making these adjustments. I guess what I'm saying is that it would be realy nice to make it easier for people to be able to jump onboard without having to spend hours trying to figure out what they can work on.
I've got some ideas, but I wanted to make sure that I'm not missing some important stuff because I haven't asked...if that makes sense :-P

Ive been wondering this as well
There is no way in hell I could ever be a complete asset to the skywind team, too much time taken up on stuff to gain responcibilites. Been modifying mods to oblivion for skyrim but not much else. Such a list that he mentions above (with the exception of the existing npc list) would be benefitial if people like us were ever to (on a blue moon that occurs every end of the myan calender and only if we've eaten cereal that morning) wish to contribute on a rare day that we feel like modding.
Thankfully Skywind/Skyblivion seems to have several dedicated and true to form modders on site, and for yalls investment of time and resources, I salute you.
