The reason why I ask is to my memory there are not two different currency's in morrowind yet when I spoke to Caius Cosades and he says something along the lines of "here is 200 drakes to get weapons and armor". I then went to the nearest shop for a few scraps of armor yet I still had the 9 or so gold I had before I spoke with him.

Yes the reason why I asked is that I got none from him. I did a few fighters guild quests and got cash from them so there does not seem to be a problem with NPC's giving cash to player.
Other than that what's the issue with the super jump. When I use the scrolls the game seems to react against me and forces me down.
When you are finished with the dialogue with Caius Cosades a message should pop up saying that 200 gold has been added to your inventory,it does for me.
I had this trouble once. Simply restart oblivion had fixed this for me, maybe it's dued by the fact the script is written player.additem Gold001, 1(with the comma, that there aren't in any vanilla sript)
