Greetings from an hobbiest writer!

Hello Everyone, I figured that seince i'm new, I should introduce myself. My names Rob, I am an amature writer and a musician. And before I started playing Oblivion, I was completely in love with Morrowind, and still am. I really like this idea. I hope Morroblivion is sucessful, becuase I want to play it. hehe Also, as a writer, I want to offer my services to anything that might need doing in the creative aspect of this project. I like messing with little things like quests and I don't mind writing books based on the lore of the game, or something that might be relevant to a quest. That's all of the fun of being a writer. I suppose that's why D&D is so fun. So if any help is needed writing quests, creating plots, figureing out a cool way to use the lore of the game as well as do something cool, or even just find a way to connect all of the peices so that a plot makes sense, I am more than happy to help. I love doing things like that. They make me tingle. Most importantly, I find that i'm good at looking at something and going "What if we did this? What would that character (assuming it's an NPC) logialy do?" And that makes for great books. (like if Anakin killed Obiwan in episode 3, which is a plot I tinkered with, good stuff) Rob

We would love you to help

We would love you to help out. But right now the project is leaning toward bug fixes and script issues. (Getting the mod clean before any quests are implemented) But If you could do it in a separate plugin then that would be awesome.

Also the leader of this

Also the leader of this project quit. (I hope he will come back) But you will have to make a separate plugin if you want to help.

Well, theres a bit of an issue there.

Seince I have absoloutely no programming experience, I'd be kind of stuck there. I'm really only good with the creative side of the process. I did have an interesting idea in mind though. But I would need someone to do all of the programing for me. Kind of like an 'after the main quest' thing. Which focuses on the Nerevarine attempting to fulfill the rest of Azuras prophecey by driving the empire out of Morrowind and casting out the gods of the nine. The player, of course, would be the person stuck in the middle of all of that. They would have to have been introduced into the situation in some way, but I have that planned out all ready. But, basicaly, the player ends up in the city of Vivec to do some seemingly mundane task that ends up getting him into some trouble with the Ordinators. They are taken to prison and after questioning, released by a guard captain. (Why do all of the elder scrolls games have prisoner heros? lol) The guard captain takes you to his superior who points the player to Vivec, the now weakened mortal former god. But no one knows that. Vivec sends the player out to do some tasks for him, the first of which taking them to Gnisis to investigate the lack of contact from the town. Upon arrival, the town is sacked. The player finds out that they were attacked by Dunmer in Blue Tabbards with a Crescent Moon and a Star. These are the Nerevarines followers, mostly ashlanders, trying to eliminate the Imperial Legion forces in the area. The quest gose further on as well. The Nerevarine kills vivec, fulfilling another part of the prophecy. Later invokes a ritual to Azura becoming a Chimer again, and thus returning to the origional form of Nerevar. This also resurrects the Chimer and gives him a new following. Seince the Deadra want Tamriel back they are right behind him, so he has a horde of deadra. They players have to stop him, yada-yada-yada. I guess I will have to see if I can get a programmer who is willing to take this one on for me using morrowblivion. But trust me, there wont be any holes in the plot.

WOW! I love your idea! I

WOW! I love your idea! I wish that would be the morroblivion main quest. But yeah you are in a tight spot... I'm not familiar with making mods either. (I don't even have the mod maker program installed) Don't leave because you have some awesome ideas!

Hehe

No problem, I have no intention of leaving. Who are the other guys on the project and what do they have acess to? Or was it just the head programmer doing all of that? And thanks, I appriciate the compliment.

I like your ideea but you

I like your ideea but you just can't start the game like that, allready Nerevarine and skilled up. The hole fun is when starting as an underdog. Maybe the player should get an amnesia or something to lose all the skills and start the game fresh. But your storyline is awsome. EDIT Or the player actualy from Cyrodill helps the Nerevarine and works in his shadow

You misunderstood what I meant.

I think you missed what I meant to say. They player would not be the nerevarine. The player would be the person who has to stop the nerevarine.

oops, my bad. I think i need

oops, my bad. I think i need some sleep

But you don't know how to

But you don't know how to use the construction set? =/

I can probably figure it

I can probably figure it out. I just don't know if I have the time to both write and program it. Espcially if i'm unfamiliar with the multiple programs it would probably take to do. I mean, football season is about to start and I have things to do with the band.

You can learn how to use the

You can learn how to use the CS in about 3 days. If you do one lesson a day, you can get all the basics down. That's what I did and I fairly know how to use the CS now. Go to http://cs.elderscrolls.com/constwiki/index.php/Category:A_beginner%27s_guide It's a great way to start learning. ;) And also you can PM davidwolf if you need any more help.
