Unable to run the game.

I just had the game lock up on me and I had to shut it down via the Task Manager.

Now when I try to load a game it crashes on me straight away.

Anyone have any idea what has happened?

When does it crash?

As soon as I press Load

As soon as I press Load Save.

I tried at least 4 different saves and it crashes while loading every one of them.

Edit - I can start a new game with no probs, but when I try to load a save it crashes again.

Deactivate Morrowind_ob -

Deactivate Morrowind_ob - UCWUS.esp, then update to latest version.

Ok, I deactivated that .esp,

Ok, I deactivated that .esp, updated it, reactivated it and still no luck.

So I deactivated it again and bingo, it loaded.

How important is that .esp?

Edit - Created a new save, reactivated and it's all ok now. Thanks for your help mate :)

Controlls Amulets plus other Try and rearange load order to if it helps to re_activate

In OBMM if you use OBMM you will find Loadorder.txt, Can you post up here to have Look

Plus can you let us know what you start Oblivion with and Control Load Order

or post a Save file

You have a few thing that only work for Oblivion

I did use Nexus Mod Manager till it started to Change Load Order by it Self

Under ( Utilities you will find Update Archive invalidation Run It)

Do you use TES4LODgen to Generate Landscape ( Distantlod)

You can also run 4gig patch across Oblivion does help

All you do is Re_Direct it to Oblivion.exe

Oh btw I have about 100 saves now. Is it ok to delete most of them?

Before you Do Create a Directory on your Harddrive copy your Whole Oblivion Directory into

It then Re_Name it to The day Date_Oblivion If it Creates your Crashing Problems.

You can Delete your Game only Oblivion Directory,Then Copy it Back in Then Re_Name to Oblivion,you Whill have your Game Back again,,Delete any Save you Dont want

Any .esp you are Putting go Above Morrowind Files.

.esm go Below morrowind_ob.esm
