Just a thought with Skyrims Armour and Morrowinds.

To my understanding the Armour in Skywind will be exactly like Morrowinds (In regards to separate Paulrons, Gauntles ext...) Will their be any modifications to Skyrims Default armour to have this with normal skyrim as well? Or as a separate plugin for this so people who don't want Skywind to modify default skyrim?

We will not modify Skyrim

We will not modify Skyrim items. The idea of Skywind is to have no impact on Skyrim (except for travel, obviously). Any occurence should be treated as a bug.

Well yeah but what about

Well yeah but what about seamless gameplay?  Going be a bit awkward then with Skyrim and Morrowind transition.

Travelling back in time isn't awkward to start with? Different games.

However there is already a mod; Pauldrons _ Morrowind Style by Kai1995 http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/26617

A compatibility patch would need to be made to ensure that the used the same slots as Skywind, but I can see over time somebody will create a mod for all Armour parts for vanilla Skyrim armours.

When Skywind releases a few armor sets ill look into splitting the Skyrims Default models to match with Skywinds and just throw it up as a Mod for Skywind.

Great idea. You can start on

Great idea. You can start on splitting them up anytime you want, it can potentially just be a Skyrim mod.

To be honest I think that

To be honest I think that there are too many pieces of armour to collect for on set in Morrowind, yet too little in Skyrim. I think we should add greaves and pauldrons but that it comes with both left and right. Just my thoughts.

Just a thought but in Skyrim you have "Visions" of the past when you read the Elder Scroll during the main quest. Why don't we have something Similar to this but using an Elder scroll so when you read it it "Teleport" you to Morrowind. We could implement a quest where you read an elder scroll to have visions of the Nerevarine, but really what is going on will be something similar to the Black Books in Dragonborn when you read it the book just simply Teleport the player to Morrowind rather than a plain of oblivion.  Even still it doesn't necessarily need to be an Elder Scrolls. It could be a simple as the player just "reading" about the events that happened during Morrowind.   This would effectively remove the "time travel" that we have and just make it as simple as Visions or A simple "book reading".    However with the simple book reading idea you would have the problem of "If hes reading a book than why does he suddenly have all these items when hes done reading it?"  VS "experiencing the past through an Elder Scroll."  However this would be more for saved games that did not choose to start in Morrowind originally.  It would eliminate the fast travel time travel Deus ex machina bull Sh*t

De ja vu...it has been

De ja vu...if I had a nickel for every time I read a post on such subject, I'd have about 75c. My personal favorite is where you are visited by somebody who gives you access to a strange blue outdoor toilet that you can use as a player home...its bigger in the inside than you think. It also has the feature of traveling between Eras...very handy in pinch.

I agree. It would be nice to have the left and right merged but to leave the rest. It would be personal preference, of course.

I prefer separate left and

I prefer separate left and right pauldrons because I like the look of having only one shoulder spike. As for gloves, I don't much care for a left/right split, but it would be nice in the case of Wraithguard.

How about the best of both

How about the best of both worlds? Keep them separate like in Morrowind, but have them appear together. Like, any list that uses one would use the other as well so you're not stuck with one of them, but you can choose whether or not to wear both.

Well maybe it can be an option in the installer. That way most people are set to go with their preference.

That option would be great,

That option would be great, either in the installer or (more likely) as an extra mod for Skywind. One of you guys (the people who want this feature) should put together a mod that pairs the pauldrons together.

Of course, we're still a ways away from having all of the armor made and equipped to the NPCs properly (and because of the way Skyrim's engine handles NPC clothing, there's a whole extra step we have to take to get NPCs to stop running around naked), so in the meantime maybe you guys can chip in with that. :)

I think that it should be an extra mod and in the installer, by having the installer come with a list of important, but not essential, mods with checkboxes for which to install. It would really be nice to have an installer that installs/updates  an entire Skywind installation instead of the current process.

More on topic: will Skyrim's pauldronless variant of steel armor be wearable with Skywind pauldrons?
