Using Joystick/Gamepad with Morroblivion

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone has had success using a joystick with morroblivion or any ideas about how I can do that. I joytokey and have used it before for games without native joystick suport. I have a wired 360 gamepad for my pc. I have tried a couple of different profiles in joytokey but I think the main problem is that the in-game controls are still enabled. I don't know why since I set:

Oblivion_default.ini busejoystick=0
Morrowind.ini busejoystick=0

also, there are two ini's from the mod that appear to effect joystick use:

Joystick, disabled.ini: I have set to 1
Joystick, enabled.ini: I have set to 0

I'm not sure if I'm missing something. I have spent a lot of hours on this before posting. I appreciate any help!

I admit I never tried it

I admit I never tried it myself because I don't use a controller but this person seems to have found a way. Maybe this works for you as well.

Thanks for sharing that info. I actually am using a profile just like the one you linked. I think the problem is that you must disable in game joystick support first using the busejoystick command in the .ini file. That part of the process does not seem to be working. Morroblivion adds two .ini files that also include enable/disable joystick.

I just tested my theory by shutting down my joystick emulator (joytokey). The problem is that the in game joystick is still enabled. With the in-game joystick support active, an emulator will not function properly.

Oblivion_Default.ini is only

Oblivion_Default.ini is only used at the Beginning when you first Start a New Game.

Wouldn't you have to Change Settings in

User\User Name\Documents (My Documents )\My Games\Oblivion\Oblivion.ini.

You Should not need the Profile, Connected up My 360 Controller for Playing DMC never Touched Oblivion.ini Started Game went in to Options\Controls Joystick is Enabled in Game, is letting me Set Keys on Control for Oblivion.
